Seplad holds virtual public auction with 133 vehicles and raises over R$ 830 thousand
Vehicles in recovery and scrap condition were offered, originating from state public administration bodies

The State Secretariat for Planning and Administration (Seplad) held a virtual public auction on Wednesday (13), in the highest bid modality, for 133 vehicles belonging to state public administration bodies and entities. The event was conducted through the platform of the responsible auctioneer, with participation open to individuals and legal entities, both from Pará and other states, raising over R$ 830 thousand.
Public auctions play a crucial role in resource recovery and fleet renewal, driving the replacement of obsolete vehicles with more modern and environmentally sustainable alternatives. This practice not only optimizes public resources but also reduces costs associated with storage and maintenance, directing investments to priority areas.
"A total of 132 lots of vehicles were auctioned, generating revenue of R$ 836,900. This action combines administrative responsibility, efficiency, and social benefit, reinforcing the State's commitment to transparency and good management of public resources. By properly disposing of vehicles that are no longer used, we not only free up space and modernize the state fleet but also generate revenue that can be reinvested in improvements for the population," explained Gabriel Perez, Deputy Secretary of Modernization and Administrative Management at Seplad.

Governed by Public Notice No. 01/2025, published in the State Official Gazette (DOE), the public auction offered vehicles in recovery and scrap condition, originating from state public administration bodies, including cars, motorcycles, vans, and minibuses. The initiative aims to promote a transparent disposal of unusable public assets, as well as generate revenue for the State and contribute to administrative modernization.
Visitation - Interested parties were able to visit the vehicles on August 11 and 12, during business hours, at the five auctioneer yards spread across Pará.

Carolina Matias, a project manager at a company, visited the auction yard in Marituba and spoke about her expectations for participating in the auction for the first time. "This is the first time my family and I are registering. Our expectation is really to win the asset, so we can travel comfortably with the family, because it is a legalized asset. I see it as a growth opportunity, because it is a high-value asset. We have been looking at the lots of our interest, which are very interesting," she said.

With 133 lots offered, the event attracted buyers from various regions of Pará and 17 states, such as São Paulo, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Maranhão, Federal District, among others, interested in acquiring vehicles at below-market prices, resulting in high competitiveness in the bids.
For Odair Jesus dos Santos, a merchant, the Seplad auction is a great opportunity. "The expectation is high, we are prepared, as this is the best auction, in terms of documentation, that I have participated in. The auction committee is very competent. I am used to this auction world, having participated several times," he said.
Next steps - The collection of the auctioned vehicles must occur within 15 calendar days (for assets in the capital) or 20 days (in the interior), under the buyer's responsibility. Failure to meet the deadlines will result in a daily fine and possible reintegration of the asset into public property. The vehicles are sold in their current condition, and any repairs, regularizations, and transfers with Detran-PA are the total responsibility of the winning bidder, as provided for in current legislation.
