Second day of the Pan-Amazon Book Fair ends with a packed venue and regional shows
The event brought together thousands of readers of all ages, who participated in cultural manifestations, discussion circles, and cultural programming.

“Just like the other editions, this year's Book Fair is amazing, with a diversity of works and cultural attractions,” declared student Michaela Lima, 19 years old. Similarly, this was the sentiment of thousands of people who attended the second day of the 28th Pan-Amazon Book Fair and Multivoices this Sunday (17). The event runs until next Friday (22), from 9 AM to 10 PM.
Held at Hangar – Convention and Fair Center of the Amazon, in Belém, the fair brings together 120 companies with works on a variety of themes. “Since the space is huge, I can't choose all the titles I want in just one day. Therefore, I will definitely come back in the coming days to acquire other publications and enjoy the shows that are being promoted,” highlighted Michaela.

In the evening, the musical agenda concluded the programming with a bang, filling the Multivoices Arena. The show started at 8 PM and was led by singers Alba Mariah and Andreia Pinheiro, who energized the audience with regional rhythms and lots of dancing. “Is there anything better than buying a book and, in the end, watching a wonderful show like this?” praised electrician Flávio Marinho, 27 years old.

Pastry chef Ivan Iwamoto, 37 years old, and entrepreneur Tâmara Lima, 30 years old, brought their 3-year-old son, Theo Tsutomu, to explore and choose some books. “In this technological world, where many are leaving reading aside, encouraging this habit is still essential. This is his first time and my third, and everything is perfect as always. He will always be here,” he reported.
Belonging
The Pan-Amazon Book Fair and Multivoices values northern culture and gives visibility to artists from the region, such as singer Alba Mariah. She expressed her enthusiasm upon receiving the invitation to perform. “This is a space that represents and translates our culture in all aspects, and I have this mission: to sing our identity and bring our culture to various spaces,” she stated.

“Encouraging access to culture and immersion in environments like this, which offer literature, art, debates, music, and, of course, community, shows that we are on the right path. I am very grateful to be here, to sing for an audience passionate about their land. I leave here with renewed energy and happy for everything I experienced. As always, the event is amazing. Congratulations!” added Alba.
Another artist who performed on the same stage was Andreia Pinheiro. With nearly 40 years of career, she said that singing at the event is a great satisfaction. “Being alongside this incredible artist, Alba, contributing to this wonderful programming, with special people, is the best way to end the week. Congratulations to the State Government for the initiative and to everyone involved,” she concluded.
