For the third consecutive year, the ParáPaz Foundation participates in the Pan-Amazonian Book and Multivoices Fair, held at Hangar in Belém. The “Reading Sky” space, created especially for children and adolescents, is a playful and cozy environment, filled with books, colors, and painting and interaction activities. The goal is to bring children closer to the literary universe while promoting important guidance on the prevention of sexual abuse and the services offered by the Foundation.

On-site, professionals from the ParáPaz Foundation, such as educators and social workers, use the booklet ‘Playing’, produced by the institution, as an educational tool, transforming awareness into a more interactive process. Through games and dialogues, children learn about body boundaries and rights, while caregivers are encouraged to discuss the topic at home, strengthening family protection.

The educator Évila Aviz, 35, was at the space with her daughter Rávila, 3, and emphasized the importance of the booklet for communication between parents and children.

“I think it’s really cool because sometimes even parents themselves can’t communicate properly with their children, and in these spaces that happens, and we, as parents, can visualize what our children are feeling, since many times they can’t convey it to us, so this initiative is very nice,” she stated.

Public servant Bethânia Nascimento, 55, also enjoyed the environment and said that the activities captured the attention of her granddaughter Isabela, 3. “I found it very interesting. They get very excited and here they have the option to draw and paint. She arrived a bit crying and now she is having fun,” she said.

Access to document issuance - This year, the ParáPaz Foundation introduced the ‘Citizen Counter’ project, which guarantees the issuance of duplicate documents, such as CPF, Digital Work Card, Voter Registration, NIS, SUS Card, among others. The ID Youth service has been the most sought after during the program. To issue documents, one must have an account on Gov.br. Those who do not have one can bring their ID, CPF, and mobile phone for password recovery, as explained by the server Tânia Torres.

According to the president of the ParáPaz Foundation, Alberto Teixeira, participation in the event has strengthened the connection with the public. “The presence of the institution in the ‘Reading Sky’ has already consolidated as an essential space to bring our actions closer to children and families. Over the years, we have provided guidance on our services and clarifications about the rights of children and adolescents. This year, we bring the novelty of the ‘Citizen Counter’ project, further expanding our care network,” he highlighted.

Service - The 28th Pan-Amazonian Book and Multivoices Fair runs until this Friday (22), at Hangar in Belém, with free visitation from 9 am to 10 pm, and entry until 9 pm.
