The fifth day of the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivozes, held this Wednesday (20), concluded with a show by the Pará artists Nilson Chaves and Allex Ribeiro, who entertained the audience with classics of regional music and new songs. Organized by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), the cultural programming of the Fair is free and takes place daily at the end of the literary activities.

With a repertoire marked by hits like Sabor Marajoara, by Nilson Chaves, and Dançando Sobre as Telhas, by Allex Ribeiro, the audience sang along, reinforcing the affective memory that Pará music carries in the daily lives of the population.

For singer and songwriter Allex Ribeiro, participating in the event is a source of pride.
"This is my first time participating, with such a special invitation. The first time I came to the Book Fair was in 2012, to attend a lecture, and I was enchanted. It’s an incredible project that brings so many people together and promotes literature. I feel totally honored to be here," he stated.

Among the fans, administrator Virginia Pagno highlighted the relevance of the show in bringing young people closer to Amazonian culture. "Nilson Chaves has been part of my life since childhood. His music portrays the Amazon, what we live here. It’s very important to see young people today getting to know a bit of this culture," she said.

In this edition of the Fair, the cultural presentations took on an acoustic format, with the stage closer to the audience, favoring interaction between artists and spectators. Nilson Chaves emphasized that the show aimed to reveal to the audience the poetic nature of his compositions.

"Today’s show is intimate, but we will show how we compose the songs, with voice and guitar. It’s simple and calm, bringing well-known songs, but also new things, because I think it’s important to always present new things. The atmosphere is one of closeness, humor, and exchange with the audience," the artist highlighted.

Visitor Rute Helena celebrated the cultural diversity offered by the Fair.
"The plurality of the Fair allows everything to be presented and consumed by the visitors. I love all these songs and couldn’t miss this moment," she stated.
