The State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur) and Braztoa (Brazilian Association of Tourism Operators) held Pará Day on Wednesday (20), an exclusive meeting that brought together associated operators of the entity for an immersion in the tourism and cultural potential of the State. The event took place at Casa do Saulo in São Paulo and gathered 48 travel operators, both national and international.

The event showcased news and experiences from Pará, highlighting its natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions, as well as providing strategic moments for training, networking, and connections. The program included presentations of new experiences from the destination, training on Pará to support sales and promotion in the market, connections with local entrepreneurs, and a lunch featuring a gastronomic experience led by chef Saulo Jennings at the Casa do Saulo restaurant, a reference in Amazonian cuisine.

The director of Tourism Products at Setur, Alessandra Pamplona, conducted a destination training on Pará's air and waterway connections with the main segments: nature, culture, and gastronomy, as well as the hotel network. Representatives of the experiences also made presentations.

"Pará Day is yet another demonstration of how the partnership with Braztoa expands opportunities to present Pará to the market. We are talking about training, closer ties with national and international operators, and a showcase for the State's differentiators. This strategic movement helps consolidate the destination in new itineraries and increase visitor flow. Gastronomy is one of Pará's strongest calling cards, and having chef Saulo Jennings, a gastronomic ambassador of UN Tourism, leading this experience shows how our cuisine embodies identity, history, and innovation. With each dish, we convey the cultural richness of our people and strengthen experiential tourism. Initiatives like Pará Day reinforce the State's preparation, showing the world our biodiversity, capacity to generate business, and transform tourism into sustainable development, jobs, and income for the population," says the Secretary of Tourism of Pará, Eduardo Costa.

Partnership - The partnership between Braztoa and Setur Pará has been strengthening since the State joined as a partner associate in 2024. Since then, the cooperation has generated significant results: in 2025, Pará will host the Braztoa Sustainability Award and stood out as the State with the highest number of registered initiatives and semifinalists. A few weeks ago, Braztoa also participated in the 1st Seminar Paths – Post-COP30 Tourism, presenting one of the lectures, in addition to other actions that reinforce the presence and competitiveness of the destination in the national market.

“This partnership with Setur Pará involves a series of strategic actions and important exchanges, which have been shaping a consistent approach of the destination with Brazilian tourism operators. Today's meeting was an exclusive and special moment to reinforce this relationship, presenting for the first time the new experiences and highlighting some of the State's destinations, as well as bringing our operators closer to local entrepreneurs, creating opportunities for partnerships and business, which is part of a broad commitment to place the region on the product shelf of the main operators. It was an opportunity to share knowledge and experience, through the flavors of Pará, all the authenticity and identity of Pará - elements that are certainly among the great attractions and tourist experiences of the State,” said Marina Figueiredo, executive president of Braztoa.

For the president, the action reinforces Braztoa's commitment to creating relevant connections between destinations and the market, valuing the authenticity and diversity of Brazilian tourism and contributing to the sustainable development of the sector.
