The musical roots of Pará were highlighted in the show of singers Pedrinho Cavallero and Silvinha Tavares, during the musical programming of the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices held on the night of this Thursday (21), at Hangar-Centro de Convenções, in Belém. With a repertoire full of regional and national music hits, the performance enchanted the audience.

During the show, the artists played songs that celebrated the roots and diversity of Pará's regional rhythms, such as brega, in addition to honoring Pará composers, who are behind the great hits of Brazilian popular music.

Freelancer André Souza appreciated the quality of the show, which was presented in an acoustic format and with the presence of a sign language interpreter, making the musical experience more accessible to the audience.

“I have known Silvinha Tavares' work for quite some time and, without a doubt, she is very well accompanied by singer Pedrinho Cavallero. So, I believe that this type of show interacts not only with the literary area but also with reading and poetry, presented in a rhythmic and accessible way,” emphasized André Souza.

Supply manager Luis Martins also praised the performance of the two Pará artists and reinforced the importance of witnessing the cultural quality of the State. "I got to know these singers thanks to the programming of the Book Fair, which has been giving space to local artists to showcase their work,” he emphasized.

Artists

Singer and songwriter Pedrinho Cavallero has been dedicated to music for 46 years and throughout his career has produced nine albums. In addition, his songs have been interpreted by prominent figures in Pará music, such as Nilson Chaves, Nazaré Pereira, and Walter Bandeira. He has been awarded in exhibitions both in Brazil and abroad, such as the Radio France Internationale – RFI festival (1993) and has participated in various festivals across Brazil.

“Performing this show was a very positive experience. It is a space for exchange, where people are open to listen and be enchanted. The universe of books, with its stories, awakens the imagination. And the audience that attends the fair usually comes with an open mind, looking for something of quality, and also to remember songs that marked their lives,” explained the singer.

Meanwhile, singer Silvinha Tavares is an artist who has been singing in the bar circuit for 20 years and throughout her career has participated in various musical projects, in addition to having released important works such as the album “Simpatia,” produced by Daniel Bastos and directed by Pedrinho Callado, featuring a repertoire of various Pará composers.

During the Book Fair presentation, the singer brought a special repertoire to connect with the audience attending the literary programming. “Sharing the stage with Pedrinho is important because he also has a great story in Pará music. We do not only play regional music, but also bossa nova, baião, and xote. We brought this work within this harmonic eclecticism, without losing the roots of our region,” she explained.
