Entrepreneurs Sell Fashion Inspired by the Amazon at the Book Fair
In the 'Creative Fair' and 'Artist Alley' spaces, the booths of Rio Piriá and Tinta Preta are examples of entrepreneurs engaged with the theme

Clothes, accessories, and decorative items inspired by the Amazon are among the most sought-after products in the Creative Fair and Artist Alley spaces during the programming of the 28th Pan-American Book Fair and Multivoices in Belém.

In the Creative Fair space, the Rio Piriá store is responsible for one of the booths that values products inspired by the Amazon. The artisanal printing brand uses screen printing and painting techniques to showcase the Amazonian biodiversity.
“The main demand has been for eco-bags with fish prints. The public is curious and enchanted by our products, and it has been a very cool experience. This is our first time participating in the Fair, and this space fosters the creative economy and boosts entrepreneurship,” concludes Pedro Pinage, one of the store's partners.

The Tinta Preta booth, in the Artist Alley, is participating for the second time in an edition of the Book Fair in Belém. For artist WBS Barros, the visibility provided by the event boosts sales and also encourages the closing of future business deals.
“Our experience has been fruitful, especially from the perspective of dialogues and visibility of our work. The public is enjoying our creations, especially the rugs, prints, and mugs, featuring typography from the Amazon Region. Our proposal is to transform what we do in murals, bringing our identity into various products,” says WBS Barros.

Teacher Cândida Castro, a visitor to the event, considers the Fair an inclusive space that promotes cultural diversity. “It is a space for all audiences, with programming for children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, which also promotes spaces for showcasing the work of entrepreneurs and artists, while valuing Pará culture. This is fantastic,” she concludes.
