Governor inspects construction works of the 2nd Usina da Paz in Parauapebas
The municipality in the southeastern state receives the second unit of the citizenship project that ensures actions in health, education, training, and more
State Governor Helder Barbalho conducted a technical visit this Saturday (23) to monitor the progress of the construction of the new Usina da Paz in Parauapebas, in southeastern Pará. This will be the second unit of the largest citizenship and social transformation project in Latin America in the municipality, which will further facilitate the population's access to free health, education, professional training, culture, sports, and leisure services.
During the inspection, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the progress of the works, which already have more than 57% of the services completed. “Parauapebas is gaining a second Usina da Paz, here in Complex VS 10. Currently, we have more than 130 people working so that, by next April, we will be delivering this new citizenship and public safety complex to care for the population of Parauapebas,” he emphasized.
Structure - The new Usina da Paz Parauapebas is being built on an area of approximately 12 thousand square meters, located on VS-10 road, in the Guanabara neighborhood.
Like the other multifunctional complexes already delivered by the State Government, this unit will also feature state-of-the-art facilities, with buildings and rooms equipped to offer more than 70 services, such as medical, dental, and psychological care, education and professional training courses, as well as spaces like a library, computer rooms, dance, gastronomy, a multi-sports gym, swimming pool, multicultural square, among others.
Expansion of services - The arrival of the new state citizenship complex will strengthen the services provided to the population of Parauapebas, which currently already has the structure and services offered by the Usina da Paz located in the Jardim Tropical neighborhood. Inaugurated in May 2022, this unit has already ensured over one million services to the local population.
“The construction of the second Usina da Paz in Parauapebas demonstrates the State Government's commitment to expanding the population's access to essential services of citizenship, sports, culture, and professional qualification. Soon, the second Usina da Paz in Parauapebas will be ready to ensure even more inclusion and opportunities for the population,” said the State Secretary for Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
