With a strategic position to establish itself as one of the main logistical and productive corridors in Brazil, Pará has been expanding efforts to attract new investments and strengthen its industrial policy. In this context, the Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec) held, on this Monday (25), the first online meeting with representatives of LogSup, a logistics operator with national operations and a strong presence in the mining sector. The dialogue marked the beginning of an approach aimed at expanding ventures in industrial districts and other productive regions of the State.

The Director of Investment Attraction and Business at Codec, Manoel Ibiapina, emphasized that the mission of the Company is to structure productive areas and create favorable conditions for the establishment of companies. Also participating in the meeting were the Manager of New Business Support, Sabrina Sena, and the Manager of Institutional Relations, Augusto César Anunciação, who reinforced Codec's institutional support for new initiatives.

During the online meeting, the state's incentives were presented to the directors of LogSup

The coordinator of the Incentivized Projects Monitoring Group (Gapi) of the State Secretariat for Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme), Marcus Vinicius Matos Paes, presented the tax incentive mechanisms of the Government of Pará, which can reach up to 95% and, for projects in the Marajó Archipelago, up to 100%. It was also emphasized that the projects are evaluated based on sustainability, innovation, and technology criteria, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Integrated action - Codec highlighted the importance of integration among state agencies to strengthen the business environment. “The joint action of Sedeme and Codec is essential to enhance Pará's attractiveness. When we combine efforts, we can offer companies even more solid support, both in terms of infrastructure and in granting incentives,” stated the Company's managers.

Representing LogSup, founder and president Marcelo Loturco informed that the company is interested in expanding in Pará, where it recently opened a branch in Parauapebas, in the Southeast region. According to him, LogSup already operates in Vale's three plants in the State, with about 90 employees, and has new projects under negotiation that could raise this number to up to 250. General Manager Fernando Davanzo and Executive Financial Manager Valter Tiba also participated in the meeting.

With this prospecting agenda, Codec reaffirms its role in attracting investments, structuring industrial districts, and promoting the sustainable economic development of Pará.
