State delivers 245 land titles and guarantees legal security to families in Santo Antônio do Tauá
Rural and quilombola communities were granted individual and collective titles, strengthening family farming and citizenship

The Government of Pará delivered, this Wednesday (27), a total of 245 definitive land titles to families in Santo Antônio do Tauá, in northeastern Pará. The action, coordinated by the Institute of Lands of Pará (Iterpa), represents the guarantee of legal possession of the land, ensuring dignity, legal security, and new development opportunities for family farmers and traditional communities.
On this occasion, the Title of Recognition of Collective Domain was also granted to the quilombola community Nova Betel, located in Tomé-Açu, benefiting about 500 people.
The Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, who conducted the delivery, highlighted the importance of the initiative to transform the lives of families.

“All the families receiving these titles have built their dreams on this land, built their lives. Keep today in your memory, because from now on this land is yours, and no one can say otherwise. May you have security in life, end conflicts, prosper, and live in peace. The State Government is with you,” said Hana.
Dreams realized in the countryside - Among the beneficiaries, stories of struggle and achievement marked the ceremony. Benigna Soares, 49, a resident of the São Luís community, celebrated the achievement.
“I received this land as a family inheritance. It is a pride for me to receive this title. It is everyone's dream. Now I have security to work and take care of my land,” she said emotionally.
Maria Estela Ferreira, 69, also from the São Luís community, highlighted the realization of a long-held desire. “We farm and I acquired this land when my husband was alive. Today I know that the land is mine, my children's, and I leave very happy for that,” she shared.

Recognition of traditional communities - The quilombola Clóvis Matias Chermont, representative of the Nova Betel community, recalled the collective struggle until the achievement of titling.
“We have been fighting for several years for this recognition because we are a traditional quilombola territory and we preserve the forest. The State has been titling collective and individual areas, and this is a moment of gratitude. We will celebrate in our community,” he said.
Strengthening family farming - According to the president of Iterpa, Bruno Kono, the action consolidates the Government's commitment to the development of the countryside.
“Today, 245 titles will be delivered, totaling 825 regularized properties in the municipality since 2019. The titling is aimed at family farming, which supplies the markets of the Metropolitan Region of Belém and ensures a better quality of life for those living in the countryside,” he explained.
The delivery benefited families from the communities Campo Serrado I and II, Tabatinga, Monte Sião II, São Luiz da Laura, João Coelho I and II, Livramento, São Sebastião, Laranjal, Vista Alegre, Campo Limpo, Vila do Espírito Santo, Ramal do Açaí, 1º de Maio, and Vila Alegre, as well as localities along the state highway PA-140.
