Government of Pará delivers the 17th Usina da Paz to the population of Moju
On the 169th anniversary of the political emancipation of the municipality, the State brings the benefits of the citizenship and social transformation complex, a reference in Latin America, to its inhabitants.

The State Government delivered this Thursday (28) the 17th Usina da Paz of Pará. The newest citizenship and social transformation complex, a reference in Latin America, was delivered in the municipality of Moju, in northeastern Pará, and represents another important step in promoting citizenship, social inclusion, and reducing violence. The arrival of the public facility was also part of the celebrations for the 169th anniversary of Moju's political emancipation.

During the delivery, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the importance that, starting today, the state citizenship complex will have for the residents of the municipality. “This is the 17th Usina delivered by the Government of Pará, allowing us to carry out this extraordinary experience of citizenship, caring for people, and the presence of the Government. All with the aim of making a social transformation in the city, based on a set of free services offered here. Today, on Moju's anniversary, the Usina da Paz is a gift for all residents,” emphasized the governor.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan expressed her satisfaction with the delivery of another Usina da Paz to the people of Pará. “It is with great joy and pride that we deliver another Usina da Paz to the people of Pará. This space was designed to be a true second home for families, offering opportunities, support, and services that transform lives. This facility will be transformative in the lives of thousands of families in Moju,” stated Hana Ghassan.
The mayor of Moju, Rubens Teixeira, highlighted the importance of the Usina da Paz for promoting citizenship, security, and generating opportunities for local residents. “Celebrating the anniversary of our city by receiving the 17th Usina da Paz is a gift for all of us. This Usina is a symbol of hope, security, and opportunities for our children, youth, and families. I want to thank the state government for believing in Moju and investing in our future,” said the municipal manager.

More than 70 services - Located on Travessa Colonial, in the Alto neighborhood, the Usina da Paz Moju has a modern and functional structure, with environments equipped to offer more than 70 types of free services in the areas of health, education, citizenship, professional qualification, culture, sports, and leisure, which will directly benefit more than 90,000 inhabitants. The construction project of the Usina was executed by the state government, in partnership with the company Hydro.

The newest state public facility has structured rooms for medical, dental, and psychological care, professional education and training courses, as well as a library, computer rooms, a dance room, gastronomy, a multi-sports gym, a swimming pool, an open court, a pet area, and a multicultural square, among others.

Opportunities - Residents highlighted the importance of this initiative from the state government. “As a mother of three autistic children, I feel that we will have support, welcome, and opportunities for my children to develop here at the Usina da Paz. It is a space that represents hope for many families like mine,” said housewife Cleiciane Milhomen.
For rural resident Maria Jurema dos Santos, 53, the opportunity to access the courses offered at the Usina da Paz represents a change in the life of the community. “I am very happy because now we will have the opportunity to take courses, learn new things, and grow in life. It will be good for the needy families in the rural area, for the women who want to develop, and also for our children, who will have different activities,” said Maria Jurema.

Families living near the new citizenship complex were also granted benefits from the housing program "Sua Casa", so they can have access to better living conditions, comfort, and security.
Quality of life - The Usinas da Paz are citizenship complexes implemented by the Government of Pará with the aim of promoting social inclusion, reducing violence, and improving the quality of life of the population in vulnerable areas. The project is part of the Territories for Peace Program (TerPaz) and, since 2021, when the first Usina da Paz was delivered, it has already guaranteed more than 10.4 million services.

In the context of public safety, the Usinas contribute to significant reductions in the rates of Intentional Violent Lethal Crimes (CVLI) in the areas where they are located, with percentages reaching a 90% decrease, indicating effectiveness in promoting public safety and improving quality of life.
Starting today, the UsiPaz Moju joins the other 16 units that are already in full operation in Belém (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Terra Firme, Bengui, and Cabanagem) and in the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Castanhal, Capanema, Bragança, Abaetetuba, Tucuruí, Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás.

Building the future - “The Usina da Paz arrives in Moju to transform lives, ensuring access to rights and opportunities for the entire community. This is a space designed for families, for youth, for children and the elderly, who will find sports, culture, education, health, and professional qualification here. It is the State present, hand in hand with the people, building a future of more citizenship and dignity for all,” assured the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
Another 20 complexes are under construction in the municipalities of Altamira, Cametá, Paragominas, Santa Izabel do Pará, Redenção, Itaituba, Santarém, Viseu, Igarapé-Miri, Barcarena, Breves, Dom Eliseu, São Miguel do Guamá, Portel, Parauapebas (second Usina), Óbidos, Salinópolis, Tomé-Açu, São Félix do Xingu, and Belém (in the Icoaraci district).
