The Dr. Celso Malcher State Technical School held the certificate delivery ceremony for the Initial and Continuing Education Courses (FIC) this Friday (29) in the institution's gymnasium. In total, over 600 students were certified in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Website Development, Computer Support, Computer Maintenance, Back-End Development, and Web Design.

The courses were taught by Professor Rick Figueiredo, under the coordination of Professor Cíntia Rodrigues, coordinator of the Technical Course in Computer Science for the Internet. The FIC training is a practical qualification opportunity that adds to the students' curricular education, helping to increase their extracurricular workload. At the end of the technical course, students need to present over 240 hours of activities, and each certification — with a load of 40, 60, or even 80 hours — represents an important step in this journey.

For the school's director, Andrey Rabelo, the moment reaffirms the institution's commitment to comprehensive education. “Once again, we have become a proactive school, where students know that it is not just about regular education, but also about curricular enhancement aimed at the job market. Technical education is this: it is education, but also the assignment of knowledge that, after the course ends, can open doors in the market,” he emphasized.

During the event, 51 students who completed the Manna Project, developed in partnership with the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), were also certified. The initiative offers training in technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, and computing, lasting six months, bringing students closer to the academic world and encouraging the continuation of studies in higher education.

Among the students, the feeling was one of achievement. Student Jean Saldanha, from the 2nd year of the technical course in Computer Science, highlighted the importance of the experience for his education. “This type of course makes a difference because we learn new things that go beyond the classroom. I see this as extra preparation for the future,” he said.

Student Ana Beatriz Menezes emphasized the relevance of free access to technological training in a public school. “For me, it is very gratifying to know that my school, being public, gave me this opportunity to acquire knowledge here. I was very happy. The course I took required a lot of dedication because it involves databases and also artificial intelligence, which is already widely used. It was an experience I will carry with me,” she stated.

Representing UFPA at the event, Professor Lucas Bastos from the Manna Project reinforced the initiative's role in awakening new talents. “The project is an ecosystem that works on the idea of teaching high school students and motivating them to pursue college, undergraduate studies, and also to participate in the academic field, which is increasingly encouraged today. In addition, it addresses areas of everyday life, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and computing. Today we managed to certify 51 students who dedicated themselves for six months of training,” he explained.

The celebration was also marked by the awarding of 3rd-year high school students who achieved the best scores in the preparatory mock exam for the Enem. Among the highlights is Ana Beatriz Oliveira, a student in the technical course in Environmental Science, who achieved an impressive score of 960 points. Motivated by the result, she states that her goal is to enroll in the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, continuing her dream of pursuing a career in the scientific field.

“This result made me very happy because it shows that all my effort and dedication are paying off. I know that the Enem is a great challenge, but I am confident that I will enter the Federal University of Pará,” she emphasizes.
