Police seize cargo and arrest man in the act for fraud in Belém
104 jars and packages of dietary supplements, acquired through electronic fraud, were recovered

The Civil Police of Pará, through the Division of Repression to Thefts and Robberies (DRFR), arrested a man on Monday (1st) for fraud and seized several jars and packages of dietary supplements, as well as electronic devices.
The investigations began to investigate an alleged crime of theft of dietary supplements, which reportedly caused significant losses to a company based in Castanhal, a municipality in the northeastern part of the state.

“We gathered information that an individual was visiting supplement stores and pharmacies in Belém, offering the products of the affected company, and we managed to find the subject in the middle of a negotiation to sell a significant quantity of the products,” explained delegate Arthur do Rosário, director of the DRFR.
During searches conducted inside the vehicle driven by the criminal, units of dietary supplements were found. He confessed that he acquired the products through electronic fraud, using a cloned credit card and personal data of a woman, with information obtained through a group in a messaging app, but denied involvement in the theft being investigated by the police team.

“The subject also confessed that there were other units of supplements acquired through the same illicit means at his residence. Based on the information, we went to the property and seized another significant quantity of products, a CPU, a digital camera, a cell phone, and the car used by the criminal. He was arrested in the act and taken to the police station, where standard procedures were followed,” concluded the delegate.
The seized phone and computers will be examined to fully clarify the crime, including identifying possible electronic frauds and other individuals involved. The arrested individual is already at the disposal of the Judiciary.
