Hemopa and IFPA mobilize students and community in blood donation campaign in the Marco neighborhood
First action of 2025 at the institution brought together students, staff, and external donors in a day of solidarity

The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) held a blood donation campaign on Tuesday (2) in partnership with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA), located in the Marco neighborhood of Belém.
To welcome the volunteers, a special structure was set up inside the educational unit, with an adapted room and a technical team from Hemopa prepared to ensure comfort and safety during the donation process.

The social worker from the Donor Recruitment Management (Gecad) of Hemopa, Alice Loureiro, highlighted the involvement of the academic community. "This is the first campaign of 2025 at IFPA and we have already noticed the engagement of students and the coordination team. We set a goal of 80 bags and participation has been very positive since early morning," she emphasized.

The head of Health at IFPA, Daniel Gomes, emphasized the mobilization of the entire academic community and the institution's openness to receive external donors. "We have participation from students, staff, and even people from the community who joined the campaign. This adherence strengthens Hemopa's blood bank and benefits the entire society," he stated.
Among the volunteers, student Ana Beatriz Rodrigues expressed her satisfaction in contributing. "The collective health lectures showed me the importance of this simple gesture, but one that saves lives. Today I feel fulfilled for turning knowledge into action and solidarity," she said.
Hemopa reinforces that decentralized campaigns are essential to broaden access to blood donation, raise awareness among new audiences, and ensure the supply of stocks for patients in the public health network throughout the State.
