Government of Pará opens 400 more spots for the Sports and Leisure Workshop for the Community

The spots are distributed among futsal, volleyball, dance, functional training, and pilates, and are intended for children and adolescents aged 7 to 17, as well as adults aged 18 and over.

After the success of the first registrations, the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), opens this Wednesday (3), at 6 PM, 400 more free spots for the II class of the Sports and Leisure Workshop for the Community, only for the morning shift. The spots are distributed as follows: 100 for futsal, 100 for volleyball, 100 for dance, 50 for functional training, and 50 for pilates. The activities will be held at the Arena Guilherme Paraense, the Mangueirinho, in the parking lot in front of the gym and in the Dance Room of the Olympic Stadium of Pará, the Mangueirão.

Registrations are made exclusively online, through a form available at this link - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdDmNfobpc-FW3tt17_m2d4W27d9kWaJC_gGNX1NMJN-Y8jfw/viewform) and also in the bio of the official Seel Instagram.

The first classes have already started their activities

The workshop is aimed at children and adolescents aged 7 to 17, as well as adults aged 18 and over. On the first day of class, parents, guardians, or interested parties must present, in a folder, two 3x4 photos, original and copy of ID, CPF, birth certificate, proof of residence, enrollment declaration from the education network, and a physical fitness certificate.

Scheduled to start on September 9 (Tuesday), registrations will automatically close as soon as the 400 spots are filled.

The Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, emphasized the relevance of the initiative:
“The workshops are another opportunity to bring the population closer to sports, not only as a competitive practice but as a tool for health, leisure, and quality of life. Our goal is to expand access and encourage community participation in activities that transform lives,” he stated.

First classes in activity - The first classes began activities on Tuesday (2), bringing together student-athletes enrolled in futsal, volleyball, dance, functional training, and pilates. The initiative seeks to promote health, leisure, and quality of life for the population for free, fostering community integration through sports.

João Pedro: training brings health and new friendships

Excited about the opportunity, student-athlete João Pedro, from the futsal class, highlighted the importance of the project. According to him, “it is very good to be able to participate, learn, and train in a space like this. Besides improving health, we make new friendships and have encouragement to continue practicing sports. This changes our routine for the better.”

With this action, the state government reinforces its commitment to democratizing access to sports practices, encouraging healthy habits and strengthening social ties throughout Pará.
