Cohab begins registration of the eight families affected by a fire in Tapanã, Belém
The victims are being registered to receive the housing benefit "Sua Casa"

Teams of social assistance and engineering professionals from the Housing Company of Pará (Cohab) began, late Wednesday afternoon (3), the registration of the eight families who were affected by a fire in the Tapanã neighborhood, in Belém.
The manager of Social Assistance, Patrícia Carvalho, provided the first guidelines for the families regarding the necessary documents to access the housing benefit "Sua Casa", which guarantees resources for the reconstruction of properties destroyed by fire. “The team provided preliminary guidelines, but we will return this Thursday (4) to complete the registration. The engineering team assessed the structure and took photographic records of the affected houses for the purpose of granting the benefit,” pointed out the social worker.

The housing benefit "Sua Casa" consists of the donation of resources for the purchase of construction materials and payment for the mason's labor. The benefit can reach up to R$ 22,000. Victims of accidents and natural disasters have priority to receive the benefit, which is intended for families in situations of social vulnerability.
Cashier operator Elisa Lucas reports that she lost everything she had at home and that the family is divided among relatives' residences. “I am at my mother's house with one child and my husband is at his mother's house with our other two children because we lost everything and we had another terrible loss, which was our grandfather who suffered a heart attack while trying to take things out of his house,” she said.
The Cohab team will return this Thursday (4) to finalize the registration.
