During an inspection carried out on September 3 and 4, in the cities of Oriximiná and Terra Santa, state revenue inspectors seized goods worth R$ 181,980.92. The action was supported by the Regional Police Command of the Military Police of Santarém. The inspectors are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Tapajós, in the Lower Amazon.

“Infractions were found such as lack of tax documentation, failure to collect the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal) due to the State, purchases made in the name of a Taxpayer Identification Number (CPF) but which, due to the quantity, showed commercial intent; lack of Electronic Transport Knowledge (CTe), among other infractions,” reported coordinator Roberto Mota.

Among the seized goods are 440 boxes with 6,280 units of beer; 1,200 bundles of soft drinks, with 11,100 units; 100 bundles with 900 units of mineral water; 20 units of automotive batteries; 5,137 units of metal profiles, among others.

As a result, 16 Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 65,505.38, referring to the collection of ICMS and fines.

Gates - During an inspection carried out at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post, of the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the southeast of the State, on September 4, 374 units of iron gates and meshes were seized, totaling R$ 129,511.64. The goods left Nova Lima-MG destined for Belém-PA.

“It was verified that the operation had as its final consumer located in the State of Pará. After document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that, although the invoices indicated regularity, there was no proof of the collection of ICMS related to the Differential Rate (Difal), which is required in this type of operation,” said the unit coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.

A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, totaling R$ 21,757.96, already considering ICMS and fines. The term was paid and the goods were released.

Accessories - Also on September 4, inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized a load of various accessories worth R$ 173,100.00 in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá. The load was in a truck coming from Contagem-MG destined for some cities in Pará and the State of Amazonas. The inspectors are assigned to the tax unit of Control of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão.

“The goods consisted of products such as wallets and pouches, stored in 11 volumes. In addition to this content, 1,154 bags of various well-known brands, appearing to be counterfeit products, were found. After the inspection began and the tax documents were delivered, the officials decided to physically verify the load and found several goods without invoices. The companies holding the brands of the products that were part of the load were contacted, and reports certifying the counterfeiting were sent,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.

The goods were retained and a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) was issued totaling R$ 39,477.00, for the goods that did not have invoices. The counterfeit goods will be delivered to the companies holding the involved brands.
