Civil Police arrest five people and seize seven firearms during operation in Santarém
The action is part of the "Restricted Trade" operation, which investigates the illegal sale of stolen firearms in Uruará

On this Friday (5), the Civil Police of Pará launched the "Restricted Trade" operation, aimed at executing preventive arrest warrants and search and seizure in the municipality of Santarém, in the Lower Amazon region, for the illegal sale of firearms. The weapons were stolen in Uruará and there is suspicion of sale in the municipality of Itaituba.
"The operation resulted in the arrest of five people, one of whom is a public security agent, and the seizure of seven firearms, as well as a replica, a replica magazine, nine magazines of different calibers, more than 100 rounds of ammunition, among other objects," explained delegate Jamil Casseb, head of the Regional Superintendence of Lower and Middle Amazon.

Among the seized weapons were revolvers, pistols, and a shotgun. In the residence where the searches were conducted, a vehicle, weapon boxes, USB drives, an electronic ankle bracelet, DVR, CPU, and a cell phone were also found. R$ 6,493 in cash was also seized.
Teams from the Uruará Police Station, the Regional Superintendence of Lower and Middle Amazon, the Homicide Police Station of Santarém, the Urban Section of Santarém, and the Investigation Support Center (NAI) of Altamira and Santarém participated in the action.
The investigations into the case are ongoing. The suspects were taken to the police station for the necessary procedures and are at the disposal of the Justice.
