The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), concluded this Friday (5) the actions of the "Assistance Throughout Pará" Program in the municipality of Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. Over five days, 2,214 people were served with various services, increasingly bringing the population closer to state public policies.

The activities started on Monday (1st) and continued until this Friday, with the delivery of cards for artisans and certificates to course graduates. The closing event was attended by the mayor of Benevides, Luziane Solon.

Qualification - Training sessions were held for those working in Benevides and nearby locations, aimed at operators of the Unified Social Assistance System (Suas), the Early Childhood Program, and the Single Registry.

Regiane Salles, a social worker from the municipality of Benevides, stated that the course aimed at enhancing her work was very important. "The course brought a lot of clarification for our techniques, especially regarding social assistance surveillance, how to implement and expand social work with families. This will add value, and we will share our knowledge gained here with other professionals and municipalities. The structure here is very good, and the technicians were really prepared to assist us," said Regiane Salles.

Various courses were offered for free, including food handling and composting, as well as nutritional monitoring, with specific guidance for each user.

Documents - During the action, 762 civil documents were also issued, including birth certificates (1st and 2nd copies) and identity cards (RG), in partnership with the Civil Police. "I came to renew my identity, as I felt the need to have a more updated version of my document. Upon arriving here, I was well attended and managed to get my updated RG, which was somewhat of a relief, as I had been using this old version of my identity since 2019," said retiree Maria Regina.

"This is our goal: to bring services and assistance to everyone, providing more opportunities, as well as more dignity and well-being. We concluded the 'Assistance Throughout Pará' in Benevides with many deliveries and good results. We also thank the partnership with the Benevides city hall, which supported the initiative from the very beginning," emphasized Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.

Issuance of documents

The next municipalities to be covered by the actions of the "Assistance Throughout Pará" Program will be Ipixuna do Pará, in the northeast; Altamira and Santarém, in the west. All programming will be announced in advance on Seaster's official channels.
