Emater delivers vehicles and reinforces commitment to rural extension in Marajó
The new cars will provide logistical support for the movements of Emater technicians in assisting rural producers in Soure and Salvaterra

Two vehicles were delivered by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of the State of Pará (Emater-Pará) to the local offices in the municipalities of Salvaterra and Soure, in the Marajó Archipelago, this weekend.
The cars will serve as logistical support and assistance for the activities of Emater's rural extension workers to family farmers in the two cities, which have pineapple and fish farming as their main productive chains, respectively.
During the delivery in Soure, representatives from associations, cooperatives, and partners highlighted the new vehicle, which will help assist Emater's extension workers. The municipality has productive chains in fishing, with the extractive public, assistance to handicrafts, tourism, gardens, and raising animals such as pigs, in addition to promoting rural credit.
“I want to thank our governor Helder Barbalho for this delivery to our office, because we do direct work in the field, with partnerships and helping our rural producers in their activities, as well as administrative support. With the new vehicle, we will have a boost in this work of assistance and rural extension,” said Sandro Pinheiro, rural extension worker and head of the Local Office in Soure.

For the local head of the Emater Office in Salvaterra, Orlando Lameira, the new vehicle arrived at a crucial moment to reinforce the assistance provided by rural extension workers in the communities supported by Emater in the region.
“We work here with 34 communities, and to reach these locations, for our technical assistance to get to these family farmers, the vehicle helps in our movement to provide quality assistance and expand our activities with family farmers,” he concluded.
