The Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz and Amazon Jazz Band Celebrate Brazilian Music
At 8 PM, next Saturday (13), the concert 'Symphonic Jazz' will take a journey through songs by national composers and performers

Next Saturday (13), the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz and the Amazon Jazz Band, artistic bodies of Theatro da Paz, will meet on stage at 8 PM for the show "Symphonic Jazz", a celebration of Brazilian music, conducted by maestro Laura Mathias Gentile with the participation of soloists Atalla Ayan and Márcio Gomes.
The repertoire will take a journey through international and national music, paying tribute to various Brazilian singers and composers, from Villa-Lobos to Tom Jobim. The first part will be dedicated to American international music, with popular and classical elements, and the second part to Brazilian music, with arrangements produced especially for the concert.

According to maestro Laura Mathias Gentile, the show will provide an eclectic musical experience. "An eclectic repertoire rich in popular and erudite figures. It is an incredible opportunity because it is not every day that you get to conduct two large artistic bodies in the same concert, so for me, it is great and a huge privilege to be part of this moment, which allows for incredible and grand repertoires."

Soloist Márcio Gomes is performing for the first time on the stage of Theatro da Paz and assures that it will be a meeting in celebration of the Portuguese language with the participation of both artistic bodies of Da Paz. "It is the meeting of the Portuguese language, the sung Lusophony, it is a tribute to Brazilian composers in the Portuguese language, we will sing from Villa Lobos to Tom Jobim. It is a meeting of love, he from the North and I from the Southeast (Brazilians), a meeting of two singers honoring the Portuguese language in one of the most beautiful theaters in Brazil and the world," he emphasizes.

For soloist Atalla Ayan, the show is a special opportunity to play alongside the Amazon Jazz Band, in addition to reuniting with his friend and soloist Márcio. "We celebrate about 20 years of friendship on the stage of Theatro da Paz, and it is a rare event for the Amazon Jazz Band to meet the Symphony Orchestra. It is a great satisfaction and I have the best expectations that it will be a great party."
