Election defines residents' committee of Terra Firme to monitor sanitation works
Group will monitor the interventions promoted by Cosanpa in the neighborhood

The Pará Sanitation Company (Cosanpa) concluded this week the electoral process for the formation of another Works Monitoring Committee (CAO) of the Pará Sanitation Development Project (Prodesan Pará). This time, residents of the Terra Firme neighborhood in Belém are part of the committee that will monitor the improvements being implemented in the neighborhood's water supply system.
More than 100 people participated in the assembly to present Prodesan Pará and the planned works for the neighborhood. After these stages, the residents elected nine members for the Committee, consisting of 6 regular members and 3 alternates, respecting gender parity.
Denilson Brito Júnior attended the entire assembly and spoke about the representative role of the community throughout the works and communication with Cosanpa. “I found it important and necessary to have this committee formed, organized to create this bond with the company, with a number greater than what was originally proposed. I believe that the chosen committee will be competent and active because people understand the importance,” said the resident of Terra Firme.

Coordinator of Prodesan Pará, Tatiana Costa added that the participation of residents will be essential in all works planned in the Project. “The Works Monitoring Committee is composed of the population itself and is a fundamental pillar for the success and transparency of Prodesan Pará, being the voice and eyes of the community,” said Tatiana.
For the president of Cosanpa, Colonel Dilson Junior, sanitation involves listening to those who will benefit. “This is the second Committee we have formed. Both have representation from residents of large neighborhoods in Belém, who will be alongside our teams to ensure that the projects truly meet the real needs of these communities,” highlighted the president of Cosanpa.
