Ideflor-Bio highlights the importance of state conservation units for students in the capital
The initiative allows students to learn more about the environmental conservation activities developed by the Institute, as well as the richness of biodiversity in the region

Bringing knowledge to learning spaces, especially related to the environment, is one of the objectives of the Institute of Forest Development and Biodiversity of Pará (Ideflor-Bio). This week, students from a school in the capital of Pará received a lecture from the agency about the 29 state conservation units.

For Professor Antônio Neto, the action helped raise awareness among students, especially regarding environmental preservation. “This lecture helps raise awareness among our students about the need to preserve the environment and understand that they are important in this process,” emphasized the educator.
Learning - According to Ideflor-Bio environmental analyst Sineide Vasconcelos, the initiative allows students to learn more about the environmental conservation activities developed by the Institute and the richness of biodiversity in the region.
“This activity, which involves the school community, highlighted the importance that Ideflor-Bio has for the conservation of areas in the State. This awareness is carried out by the Directorate of Management and Monitoring of Conservation Units (DGMUC), which promotes environmental education for this audience through lectures, videos, questions, and answers,” she emphasized.
Sineide Vasconcelos also highlighted the importance of this type of action in spaces for training young students, to sensitize them about the conservation of existing forests in Pará. She also mentioned that during the lecture, she emphasized the importance of traditional peoples and communities in preserving natural resources.
