Sectet strengthens the preparation of technical school students for the Saeb 2025 exam
Students from EETEPAs participate in biweekly simulations that assist in training question interpretation and exam time management

The State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) is developing a series of pedagogical actions to prepare students for the Basic Education Assessment System. The Saeb will be applied nationwide between October 20 and 31. A total of 26 State Technical Schools of Pará (EETEPA) are participating in the event.
Secretary Victor Dias, head of Sectet, emphasizes that the investment in preparation for Saeb reinforces the department's commitment to the quality of education. "By investing in preparation for Saeb, Sectet reaffirms its mission to ensure quality education and expand opportunities for young people from Pará," he said.

"The active participation of technical schools demonstrates that, in addition to professional training, the network is also committed to strengthening the academic foundation, essential for the educational and professional trajectory of students," highlights Victor Dias.
As part of the preparation strategies, students from EETEPAs participate in biweekly simulations, which assist in training question interpretation and exam time management. In addition, they take reinforcement classes in the subjects covered by Saeb and benefit from the Prepara SISPAE program, developed by the State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc), which provides additional simulations and content directed towards the exam.

The director of Professional and Technological Education at Sectet, Washington Berg, reinforces the importance of school engagement and the integration between teachers, managers, and students.
"The engagement of EETEPA in the preparation process reflects SECTET's commitment to ensuring that students are well prepared for the assessment. The expectation is that, in this edition, the results will surpass previous years, strengthening the quality indicators of the technical network," he emphasizes.

According to the director, the simulations and the study routine guided by teachers contribute to the formation of solid learning habits, promoting discipline, self-confidence, and academic resilience.
At EETEPA Deodoro de Mendonça, in Belém, students recognize that the routine of simulations has been fundamental for their preparation for Saeb.

For Joaquim Rodrigues, from the Administration course, the opportunity to revisit subjects from regular education makes all the difference. "For us, who are taking a technical course and no longer have these subjects in the curriculum, it is very important to revisit this content. It adds to our curriculum and our experience. The preparation routine has helped me a lot, not only for Saeb but also for other exams I am preparing for," he explains.

Caroline Massal, also from Administration, highlights the importance of the process for her academic evolution. "This will be my first time participating in the exam, and I confess that I am quite nervous, but also very committed. This preparation routine has helped me a lot, especially in developing my Portuguese skills, although I am still facing more challenges in mathematics. The simulations every fifteen days have been fundamental because they help me train, gain confidence, and improve my performance. Little by little, I am feeling more prepared," declared the student.
Saeb – The Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) is one of the main diagnostic tools of Brazilian education, allowing the evaluation of the quality of learning in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. In addition to measuring student performance, the results of Saeb provide important subsidies for the formulation of public policies, guiding teachers and managers on necessary pedagogical adjustments and ensuring more effective strategies in the teaching-learning process.
