Helder Barbalho visits the works of the Tamandaré Tourist Hydroviary Terminal in Belém
With 77% of the structure completed, the intervention generates over 400 jobs

The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, visited on Wednesday (17) the works of the new Tamandaré Tourist Hydroviary Terminal, in the Cidade Velha neighborhood, in Belém. The space will be one of the main departure points for tourism from the mainland to the nearby islands of the capital of Pará.
“This new facility arrives to make Belém increasingly connected to its islands, bringing people closer and giving us, the people of Pará, and those who visit us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature in our capital, the capital of the Amazon,” said Helder Barbalho.

According to the governor, the terminal will improve the working conditions of small entrepreneurs in the region and ensure more comfort, safety, and accessibility for users. “Belém gains a lot with the Tamandaré Terminal, which will receive regional vessels and also connect to the tourist spots of our city. The works are already 77% completed, with over 400 people working here and generating jobs from civil construction,” he emphasized.
The new terminal will have two air-conditioned floors, a lookout, a cover for boarding and disembarking, an elevator, eight bathrooms, 12 administrative offices, two shops, a restaurant/snack bar, and parking. The project also includes a solar energy system and camera monitoring. The structure is designed to accommodate up to 500 passengers per day.

The work is part of the legacy package of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in November in Belém.
