Seaster participates in a community event for homeless people in Belém
The action involved the participation of municipal and state agencies, and the partnership of the Regional Electoral Court, Regional Labor Court of the 8th Region, Court of Justice of Pará, and Federal Justice
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), participated on September 23 and 24 in the "Pop Rua Jud Pará" community event, at Praça Dom Pedro II, in the Cidade Velha neighborhood of Belém. In this action, Seaster provided 381 services, including referrals for training, registration in the National Employment System (Sine), issuance of work cards and artisan cards, nutritional guidance, and food distribution.

"Pop Rua Jud Pará" is an initiative of the national judicial policy for the care of homeless people, in partnership with the National Justice Council (CNJ), aimed at providing services specifically targeted at homeless individuals, ensuring humane reception and facilitating access to fundamental citizenship rights.
The community event involved the participation of various municipal and state agencies, as well as the partnership of key judicial bodies, such as the Regional Electoral Court of Pará (TRE), Regional Labor Court of the 8th Region (TRT-8), Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA), and Federal Justice.
“It is with great satisfaction that we hold, here in Belém, another edition of ‘Pop Rua Jud’. This action is especially aimed at the vulnerable population, ensuring access to essential citizenship services, assistance, and dignity. Throughout the day, we provided health services, including medical consultations, personal hygiene services such as bathing, haircuts, and distribution of kits, as well as document issuance, legal guidance, and referrals to the social assistance network. We also had specialized psychosocial support, reception, and referrals to public policies, in addition to offering food and cultural activities. Our goal is to bring the public power closer to the homeless population, promoting rights, inclusion, and respect,” highlighted Rodrigo Valdez, coordinator of "Pop Rua Jud".

Quick service - Seaster acted effectively, with a series of services aimed at directly addressing the demands of the vulnerable population. “I came here today because I really needed to get my new documents, since mine had been stolen. I didn’t imagine it would be so quick and organized. I was really impressed with the speed of the service and the care of the teams. For someone in a difficult situation like mine, having this support makes all the difference. It’s a relief to be able to leave here with my documents in hand and the feeling that I was well received,” said Andréia Batista, a street artist.
“We provided 381 services in this action, at a moment when we ensured that vulnerable people had their right to essential public policies, enabling access to social assistance, job offers, and training, which leads to improved living conditions and helps them understand that it is possible to have more well-being and dignity with the Government's support for their personal and professional development. We continue to work to ensure that more people benefit from our actions,” emphasized Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.

Through these actions, the Government of Pará, via Seaster, reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive, participatory public policy aimed at reducing social inequalities, promoting citizenship for all.
