In New York, Helder Barbalho presents Bioamazon Valley, a strategic hub to boost the new forest economy
With the presence of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger highlighting opportunities; Prince Albert II of Monaco confirmed attendance at COP30
The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, presented, this Wednesday (24), in New York, during the event "Harnessing the Climate's 'Superpowers': Nature, Technology, and Communication," the Bioamazon Valley, a strategic hub to boost the new forest economy in the Amazon. The event was attended by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. On this occasion, Prince Albert II of Monaco confirmed his attendance at COP30.

In his last official commitment at NY Climate Week, Helder Barbalho presented a series of opportunities that the Bioamazon Valley, inspired by the experience of Silicon Valley, offers.
"What is this? It is to do what happened decades ago in California with Silicon Valley, through the knowledge of technology, computers, and chips, so that we can make this transformation in the Amazon based on our biodiversity, the wealth of our forest, our roots, our essences, our flora, but also our fauna, where we can show that, with value addition and knowledge, we can achieve sustainable transformation. And what is sustainable transformation? It is only sustainable when it involves, yes, the forest, but also involves the people."
In practice, the Bioamazon Valley is an ecosystem that will include initiatives such as the Amazon Bioeconomy and Innovation Park, the Amazons Museum, the Guamá PCT, in addition to strategies to encourage research, vocational and technological education, among other initiatives already underway in the State.
"With this initiative, we will stimulate, in a way never seen before, a joint action between government, universities, and companies, promoting inclusion and innovation, investing in biotechnology. Just as Silicon Valley transformed California, the Bioamazon Valley will transform Pará," emphasized Helder Barbalho.

I love your country and your beautiful State, Pará. And we are open to making a fantastic COP 30 and wish the best for the success of this event, which is very important," said the prince.
