Mangal das Garças offers 'dream catcher' workshop for children this Sunday (28)
In addition to children's projects, Mangal das Garças has daily programs for the public to connect as much as possible with the local fauna and flora

This Sunday (28), the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park will hold another edition of its weekly children's project, Ecoarte. This week, a 'dream catcher' workshop will be offered. The event starts at 10 am in the Park's amphitheater, and entry is free.
In North American indigenous culture, the 'dream catcher' is a traditional amulet created to protect people from nightmares, purifying energies and separating positive dreams from negative ones. With 'Cumbuca - Creative Workshops', the little ones will have the opportunity to create their own amulets using natural artifacts found in Mangal and beads.
“Being present in this unique moment that is childhood has been a privilege. Every week, various children gather here, in this wonderful environment, to come into direct contact with nature and learn, in a fun way, more about various topics. All workshops are born with the purpose of creating a unique leisure moment for the little ones, as well as helping in various areas of child development and directly contributing to environmental education themes,” emphasizes Mayara Cohen, creator of 'Cumbuca - Creative Workshops'.
Ecoarte is a project aimed at disseminating environmental education in a playful way and is carried out by the government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur) and the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages the Park.
In addition to children's projects, Mangal das Garças has daily programs for the public to connect as much as possible with the local fauna and flora. Check it out:
