Iasep promotes last Biometric Registration Drive for Insured Individuals this Saturday (27) in Belém
Registration is mandatory for all insured individuals aged 8 and older who use the network for any medical procedure in Belém
The Institute of Health Assistance for State Employees of Pará (Iasep) is holding, this Saturday (27), the last day of the series of biometric registration drives in Belém. The initiative will take place from 8 AM to 12 PM at the institute's headquarters, located at Avenida Almirante Barroso, No. 256, in the Marco neighborhood. Registration is mandatory for all insured individuals aged 8 and older who use the network for any medical procedure in Belém.
The goal is to expedite access to health services, enhancing security and combating fraud in the assistance plan for state public servants. Since the beginning of September, Iasep has been promoting these drives on Saturdays (13, 20, and 27) to increase adherence to the biometric system, which has already shown significant progress.
By April of this year, about 72,000 of the 120,000 insured individuals in Belém – or 60% of the total – had completed their registration. Between June and September, more than 25,000 beneficiaries were served via biometrics, totaling 77,000 service validations.
The registration process is simple and quick: just show up with original documents (ID, CPF, and Iasep card for holders; proof of residence and the number of the Enrollment Agreement for dependents). No prior appointment is necessary.
Biometrics, which collects fingerprints, signatures, and facial recognition, modernizes service across the entire accredited network of the institute. "Biometrics is essential to ensure more security and agility in serving our beneficiaries. In fact, we are holding these drives to facilitate access and allow everyone to regularize their situation with Iasep," said Josynélia Tavares Raiol, president of Iasep.
A special alert goes to insured individuals from the interior of the state who depend on the accredited network in Belém for services. Biometric registration is also mandatory for this group, ensuring that access to services in the capital – such as consultations, exams, and hospitalizations – occurs smoothly and securely. "Many employees from the interior travel to Belém in search of specialties that are only available here. Don’t wait until later: Saturday's drive is the ideal chance for everyone," Raiol.
There is no final deadline for registration in Belém, due to the ongoing need to carry out the procedure. Deadlines will be set for clinics and hospitals to start requiring biometrics for service provision. These deadlines will be communicated through announcements after the biometric registration actions are completed in each region of the state.
With this final stage, Iasep reaffirms its commitment to efficiency and protection for over 200,000 beneficiaries throughout Pará, promoting a more modern and accessible health plan.
