More than 130 families from São Domingos do Capim receive the second phase of the housing benefit 'Your House'
The second phase of the benefit ensures the completion of the construction of the own house. The delivery was attended by Governor Helder Barbalho and the Lieutenant Governor, Hana Ghassan
Families from São Domingos do Capim, in northeastern Pará, received benefits from the housing program 'Your House', referring to the second phase, which allows the completion of the construction of their own homes. The delivery to 139 families took place this Friday (26), during the administrative agenda of Governor Helder Barbalho and Lieutenant Governor Hana Ghassan in the municipality.
“I want to thank Pioneiro (director-president of Cohab) on behalf of the entire Cohab team, as today more than a hundred families are receiving the housing benefit, and I want to say that we will continue to expand 'Your House' for families throughout Pará,” emphasized Governor Helder Barbalho.
The 'Your House' benefit can reach up to R$ 21,000, and it is a donation made to families by the government of Pará.
The director-president of the Housing Company of Pará (Cohab), Manoel Pioneiro, highlighted the importance of ensuring the housing benefit for the completion of the construction. “These families received the second phase, which consists of another check and another installment of funds for the payment of the mason's labor, ensuring the completion of the housing construction, bringing quality of life and dignified housing to those who need it most,” pointed out Pioneiro.
The 'Your House' program aims primarily to provide assistance for the acquisition of construction materials and payment for workers involved in the construction, reconstruction, and expansion of properties.
Farmer Izolino Nascimento shares that he started the construction of his masonry house, and now he will finish the finishing touches of the residence with the second phase of the benefit. “This check means a lot in my life, as now I will have a better home, with more comfort; what I had before starting this construction was very bad, now, for sure, I will live better,” he said.
Farmer Marizete Maciel details that her house was damaged by a flood. “I have always dreamed of having a masonry house, and today I am realizing that dream. When I received the benefit, I knelt down and thanked God first, and also Governor Helder Barbalho and Mayor Orivaldo Bateria,” she said.
The 'Your House' program prioritizes families living in social risk situations, such as extreme poverty, victims of disasters (fires, floods, storms, landslides, etc.). It also assists the elderly, families of people with disabilities, and individuals who meet other technical criteria.
