Public Regional Hospital of the East emphasizes care for mental health
As part of the Yellow September campaign, the Pará Government unit offered lectures, games, and dance classes to users, companions, and professionals.
The Public Regional Hospital of the East (HRPL), located in the municipality of Paragominas, southeastern Pará, concluded on Friday (26) a program related to the Yellow September campaign, with initiatives aimed at users, companions, and professionals, featuring thematic lectures, dynamics, games, dance classes, and the Decompression Room, which provided moments of relaxation and care for mental health, reinforcing the importance of balance in the workplace.

Organized by the People Management department, in partnership with the Humanization Commission, the program that started on Monday (22) highlighted, for the users, the self-care project, conducted with the support of the Physiotherapy team. “Patients were taken out of their beds, walked with professionals, and participated in a special dynamic: the assembly of a gratitude message tree. In the space, patients, companions, and staff wrote what they are grateful for in life, strengthening emotional bonds, welcoming, and humanizing care,” informed Gustavo Silva, administrative assistant of the Permanent Education Center (NEP).
Leadership - A stage of the Leaders Academy was also held, with the theme “The impact of the leader on the organizational climate,” reinforcing the institutional commitment to the continuous training of managers and the promotion of a healthy work environment that values life.
“Actions like this are essential for strengthening care for our employees. The Yellow September campaign at HRPL was not just a program of activities, but an opportunity for reflection, welcome, and valuing life,” explained Tays Carvalho, supervisor of People Management.

Approval - The freelancer Maria Silvaneth, 46 years old, participated in the actions and said she was unaware of the campaign. “I already knew about 'Pink October' and 'Blue November,' but I had no idea that every month had a color,” said Maria. For her, the initiative is essential given the increase in cases related to emotional illness. According to Maria Silvaneth, “there are many cases happening today. People seem very overwhelmed with life, due to losses, relationships, work, and so many things.”
She also emphasized self-care and the search for support. “It is important to look at life in different ways, to de-stress, breathe, and seek help. To understand that we are not perfect, that things can happen, but we cannot lose hope. We need to find strength either in faith, family, hobbies, or professional help,” she advised.
