Setur conducts training and technical visits to municipalities in the Tocantins and Araguaia regions
Participants in the programs in Barcarena, Abaetetuba, Igarapé-Miri, and Redenção received information about Cadastur and the General Tourism Fund
The municipalities of Barcarena, Abaetetuba, and Igarapé-Miri, in the Tocantins Integration Region, received training on the Register of Tourist Service Providers (Cadastur) and technical visits to tourist enterprises from September 22 to 26. Promoted by the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur), the action was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, city halls, municipal secretariats, Sebrae (Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises), commercial associations, and the Bank of the State of Pará (Banpará).

Cadastur is an essential tool to ensure that entrepreneurs have access to public policies, financing, and support in promoting their services. At the event, entrepreneurs are introduced to the system and the advantages of the National Register, learning the step-by-step process for registration.
"We traveled to several municipalities with the aim of guiding and raising awareness among entrepreneurs to update their registration, thus ensuring their formalization and being a reliable source for those who seek them, especially tourists," informed Margarete Carvalho, manager of Qualification of Tourist Services at Setur.
In Igarapé-Miri, 18 tourist enterprises were visited. In Abaetetuba, there was awareness-raising at 29 enterprises, with a presentation of the Municipal Tourism Plan, which is important for strengthening the tourism sector in the municipality, and in Barcarena, 30 received a visit from the team.
In all municipalities, in addition to the technical team from Setur, technicians from the Ministry of Tourism, representatives from Banpará, and Sebrae were present. In the financial institution's lecture, the Fungetur (General Tourism Fund), CredTurismo, competitive rates for enterprises, flexible deadlines, and specialized support for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector were discussed.

In Sebrae's lecture, representatives from the institution spoke about opening ME and providing advice for starting businesses. The Ministry of Tourism monitored tourist service providers.
Redenção on the route - Still in September, Setur was in the municipality of Redenção, in the Araguaia Integration Region, in the south of the State, participating in the event "Redenção on the Tourism Route," which included training on Cadastur and Fungentur as well as technical visits to lodging facilities and tourist enterprises.
During the workshop with entrepreneurs, everyone was guided to register to access benefits. The increase in business visibility, qualification opportunities, and support at events by the Ministry of Tourism were also discussed.
The coordinator of the Directorate of Tourism Policies (Dpot) at Setur, Leda Moreira, highlighted that the municipality has diverse potential and registered entrepreneurs can advance even further as part of the public policy system.
The Municipal Secretary of Tourism, Felipe Rocha, thanked everyone for their efforts in promoting the adoption of sustainable practices in the tourism sector, fostering the integration of local production into the tourism production chain, and thus ensuring democratic access for priority audiences to tourism activities.
