According to investigations, the suspect arrested this Monday morning (29) is involved with a criminal organization

The Civil Police of the State of Pará, through the Delegacy for the Repression of Criminal Factions (DRFC), provided operational support early this Monday morning (29) to the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro in executing an arrest warrant and a search and seizure against a woman who is part of a criminal organization.

“During the operations, we managed to arrest a woman who is part of a criminal organization operating in the Gardênia Azul favela, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. She was arrested here in Pará shortly after returning to the city of Belém. Our teams were monitoring the suspect in a joint action with the PCRJ, which was conducting the investigations,” detailed delegate Breno Ruffeil, head of the DRFC.

Suspect was arrested upon returning to Pará, in an integrated action by the Civil Police of Pará (PA) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ)

The arrest and search and seizure warrants were executed in the Parque Verde neighborhood at one of the addresses linked to the suspect, who had previously been arrested for international drug trafficking in France, where she acted as a mule transporting drugs from Brazil to Europe.

“Investigations indicate that she was hiding in the Gardênia Azul community, a stronghold of criminals linked to a faction, and that she returned to Belém seeking protection. A mobile phone was found and seized at the residence, which will be examined,” said delegate Augusto Potiguar, director of the Division for the Repression of Organized Crime (DRCO).

Another 11 people were arrested in Rio de Janeiro by PCRJ teams. So far, one rifle, 3 pistols, and drugs have been seized. The operation highlights the importance of inter-institutional cooperation among state police forces in combating organized crime and repressing interstate criminality.

The woman, who was arrested by the PCPA, flaunted rifles and other firearms on social media, as well as symbols that highlighted her relevance within the criminal organization. She was taken to the DRFC, where she underwent the necessary procedures, and will be charged with association for drug trafficking.
