Head of Sespa, Ivete Vaz, (in pink): "The contracts signed by Sespa must be a management tool that ensures quality, efficiency, and commitment to the health of the population," she said.

In Belém, the State Department of Public Health of Pará (Sespa) began, this Monday (29), in the central level auditorium, the I Technical Journey of Monitoring and Evaluation of Contracting, with the theme "Management that Builds Results: Paths to Effectiveness of Quality in Health." The event, organized by the Department of Analysis and Services (DAS/DDASS), runs until this Tuesday (30), bringing together managers of contracted hospitals and members of the Contracting Monitoring Committees (CACs).

The main objective of the Journey is to train and engage participants in improving the use of indicators, and in the analysis of performance and compliance with the goals agreed upon by hospitals, promoting continuous improvement in hospital contracts. The program includes lectures, round tables, workshops, and interactive dynamics.

Journey mobilizes hospital managers in a program with lectures, round tables, and workshops.

At the opening, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Ivete Vaz, highlighted the importance of the process to ensure quality and efficiency in the SUS. "We are working to ensure that each contract signed by Sespa is more than a bureaucratic instrument. We want it to become a management tool that ensures quality, efficiency, and commitment to the health of the population. Strengthening contracting is strategic because it allows us to monitor results, correct failures, and ensure that resources are applied transparently and effectively," she stated.

Director of the Department of Analysis and Services, Flávio Reis: "The goal (of the Journey) is to transform theory into practice.".

The director of the Department of Analysis and Services, Flávio Reis, emphasized that the Journey has a practical character focused on results. "The goal is to transform theory into practice. Each contracted hospital leaves here with clear tools to improve management, from the correct recording of information to strengthening internal evaluation committees. This learning translates into more predictability and, above all, better conditions of care for the population," he pointed out.

The Deputy Secretary of Health Policy Management, Heloisa Guimarães, reinforced Sespa's commitment to the quality of care. "We have the responsibility to deliver the best of ourselves every day, because the expectations of the population of Pará regarding our work are very high. We need to honor each contract with effort and dedication, so that the physical, quantitative, and qualitative goals are achieved, and thus we can minimize the pain of those who need the SUS," she said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Development of Health Care Networks of DDASS, Christielaine Zaninotto, emphasized the approach between management and health units. "This moment is a milestone. We have here the opportunity for interaction between Sespa and the contracted units, strengthening ties and building joint solutions for the health system," she stated.
Representing the DDASS board, Brena Bentes highlighted the relevance of the meeting for the improvement of the network.

"This is a moment of scientific gain and information exchange. Take the opportunity to clear all doubts, because this space is of great value for the SUS to happen in an increasingly correct and effective manner," she emphasized.

The Journey includes activities aimed at the technical alignment of analyses and accountability, valuing monitoring committees, and strengthening contracting as a tool for hospital management. The program continues until this Tuesday (30) with lectures, workshops, and practical guidance for participants.
