State delivers over 1,500 new prescription glasses at Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor, in Belém

The action was the result of the services provided during the "Por Todas Elas" program, on the last September 1st, at Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor, when hundreds of people underwent free consultations and eye exams.

More than 1,500 people benefited from the delivery of prescription glasses by the government of Pará, this Monday (29)

The government of Pará carried out, this Monday (29), the free delivery of 1,515 prescription glasses to residents of the Jurunas, Condor neighborhoods and nearby areas, in Belém. The action was the result of the services provided during the "Por Todas Elas" program, on the last September 1st, at Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor, when hundreds of people underwent free consultations and eye exams.

Present at the delivery, Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the importance of the initiative. "We are here at Usina da Paz to deliver the glasses to those who underwent the eye consultation, chose their frame, and are now receiving this benefit for free. It is a way to take care of visual health and improve the lives of our population, especially those who need it the most," he stated.

The Vice Governor Hana Ghassan said that the benefit represents more dignity, inclusion, and care for the beneficiaries

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan emphasized the impact of the action. "The delivery of glasses means dignity, inclusion, and care. Many women and families who could not afford this cost now have the opportunity to see better and live with more autonomy," she stressed.

In addition to the glasses, the State also delivered eleven wheelchairs, benefiting People with Disabilities (PcD) and reinforcing the commitment to ensure a better quality of life for the population.

Among the beneficiaries, the emotion was evident. Retiree Raimunda Pantoja, 87, received a new wheelchair and also secured her prescription glasses. "It is a blessing. I can no longer stand alone, and now with the chair and the glasses my life will improve a lot. I am very grateful," she said, emotional.

Also, the resident of Jurunas, Celeste Magno, could not contain her joy. "I really needed this. My old glasses broke and I could hardly see anything. These new ones arrived at the right time. I am very happy and grateful for this opportunity," she said.

The program - Created in 2024, the "Por Todas Elas" program has already totaled over 170,000 services throughout the State. The initiative offers more than 30 free services in health, citizenship, and leisure, focusing on serving women and families in Pará.

Service - People served in the action on September 1st who could not attend the delivery this Monday (29) can pick up the glasses directly at Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor, located at Travessa Quintino Bocaiúva, s/n, between Avenida Bernardo Sayão and Travessa Honório José dos Santos. It is necessary to present an official identification document to make the pickup.

In case of possible problems with the delivered glasses, interested parties should also seek Usina da Paz Jurunas/Condor to request the necessary corrections.
