The Regional Hospital of Oriximiná Menino Jesus (HRMJ) completes, this Wednesday (1st), one year of foundation. Delivered to the population on October 1, 2024, the unit is a reference in orthopedics, traumatology, and general surgery, offering medium and high complexity services for the entire Northern Corridor region.

During this period, the hospital performed 64,732 services, 54,159 exams, and 878 surgeries, strengthening its position as a reference center in health in the interior of Pará.

Stories that mark

Eloísa Ribeiro Gomes, eight years old, is a resident of Óbidos, and suffered a fracture in her forearm during a play

Among the patients treated by the Hospital is Eloísa Ribeiro Gomes, eight years old, a resident of Óbidos, who suffered a fracture in her forearm during a play at home. “We were welcomed at Hospital Menino Jesus, where Eloísa underwent surgery on her right radius, and we are happy with her recovery,” reported her mother, Josiane dos Santos Ribeiro Gomes.

She highlighted the importance of HRMJ for the population of her city. “The residents of Óbidos have been privileged with medical care at HRMJ. The entire team welcomed us with attention and care. We feel very grateful for the treatment received,” she concluded.

One year of challenges and achievements

The general director of the hospital, Katiuscya Braga, evaluated the advances achieved in the first year of the unit. “This first year of the hospital reinforces our recognition within the Northern Corridor. We have advanced in medium and high complexity procedures, especially in gynecology, orthopedics, and general surgery, always focusing on the humanization of care,” she emphasized.

Modern structure and humanized care

With 26 infirmary beds, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and 16 reception beds, HRMJ has a modern structure prepared to ensure comprehensive and humanized care.

The team is composed of nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, nutrition, psychology, and social service professionals, working in a multidisciplinary way to provide complete care to patients.

In addition to laboratory and imaging exams, the hospital offers services in seven medical specialties: anesthesiology, cardiology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics and traumatology, as well as intensive medicine.

Reference in the Northern Corridor

In addition to Oriximiná, the Menino Jesus Regional Hospital also serves residents of Alenquer, Almeirim, Curuá, Faro, Juruti, Monte Alegre, Óbidos, Prainha, Terra Santa, among other municipalities in Pará.
