Cultural Foundation of Pará opens registration for drawing course on the Círio de Nazaré

Registrations are open for the workshop "Features of the Círio", a drawing course focused on the Nazarene theme, promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP). The classes will be held at the Casa das Artes, in Belém, from October 6 to 10. On the 6th, 7th, and 8th from 6 PM to 10 PM and on the 9th and 10th from 2 PM to 6 PM. The works produced will be exhibited on the balcony of the Casa das Artes, transforming it into a showcase to present to the city the different artistic perspectives coming from a common point.
Under the guidance of Marcelo Lobato, an art educator skilled in drawing techniques and exhibition setups, participants will have the opportunity to develop works that engage with the complete scenario of the Círio, from the imaginary to the visuality.
"The syllabus includes the imaginary of the Círio, theoretical and visual research of this expression and popular memory, development of the creation of an authorial gaze on the Círio taking into account the selection and conception of the exhibition to thus carry out the setup and finalization that culminates in the organization of the exhibition space, the balcony of the Casa das Artes," he details.
The workshop "Features of the Círio: Drawing and Exhibition Laboratory" offers the opportunity for artistic training with access to the balcony of the Casa das Artes as an exhibition stage, showcasing the plurality of perspectives while celebrating this cultural and religious manifestation.
