The Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz celebrates the Círio de Nazaré with a performance

In the countdown to the Pilgrimage of the Queen of the Amazon, the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz will perform the show "OSTP Concert in tribute to the Círio de Nazaré" this Monday (6), at 8 PM, at Da Paz, under the direction of conductor Miguel Campos Neto and featuring the Carlos Gomes Choir, the Community Choir of EMUFPA, soprano Dione Colares, and narration by João de Jesus Paes Loureiro.

The repertoire includes two Ave Marias, by the Pará composers Luiz Pardal and Paulino Chaves, produced in different historical periods. In addition to the "Círio Symphony," an unpublished work premiered by the Altino Pimenta Symphony Orchestra of the Federal University of Pará in September, also composed by Pardal.

The audience can expect an exciting performance with pieces that celebrate each of the processions of the Círio de Nazaré and the public premiere of the piece "Círio Symphony." "It is a symphony that describes with great precision and mastery the atmosphere of the Círio. Each of the movements is dedicated to one of the pilgrimages. The first movement is about the river Círio, the second is the children's Círio, the third is the trasladação, and the last movement is the Círio itself," says the conductor.

He also emphasizes that it will be a special moment for the Orchestra, which will be performing such a rich work. The presentation will also feature the participation of poet João de Jesus Paes Loureiro, who was part of the composition of the piece "Círio Symphony."

Soprano Dione Colares states that the concert is a gift for the audience. "The music is true works of art. The Círio Symphony is a true gift from composer Luiz Pardal to the city of Belém and to the artistic world, as it expresses the sensitive and spiritual side of our Círio," she affirms.

Access to the concert will be through tickets, priced at R$ 2, available from 9 AM on October 6 through the Ticket Fácil website (ticketfacil.com.br) and at the box office of Theatro da Paz, with a limit of two units per person.

The program is sponsored by the government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), in partnership with Theatro da Paz and the Pará Academy of Music (APM).
