Emater assists family farmers in accessing national agricultural registrations
Technical Assistance Company contributes to family farming in obtaining the national registration of family farming (caf) and the rural environmental registration

In the service dynamics provided by the local office of the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of Pará, in Tracuateua, on the Rio Caeté, Emater has contributed to family farming for access to the national registration of family farming (caf) and the rural environmental registration.
At the municipal, state, and federal levels, the documents are mandatory for family farmers to access rights such as rural credit, rural retirement, and rural housing programs.
“I am interested because I see opportunities to undertake, to increase sales. I think this first service, where we really learn the facts, opens all doors and seems to even illuminate our minds,” says cassava farmer Roseane do Socorro Soeiro, 45, owner of Sítio Dona Rosa and Eliéser, on Ilha da Madeira.
Roseane's family was one of the beneficiaries of a task force involving Emater from September 30 to October 3. The Productive and Social Inclusion Mutirão, organized by the company Agropam - Planning and Technical Rural Advisory, within the scope of a public call from the National Agency for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Anater) for registration in the Bolsa Verde program, benefited 23 communities in the Campos de Baixo and Campos de Cima of the Marine Extractive Reserve of Tracuateua.
“In the case of Emater, our role was in caf, car, environmental regularization, guidance on land regularization, PNHR [National Rural Housing Program], PAA [Food Acquisition Program], and other social programs and public policies,” enumerates the head of the local Emater office in Tracuateua, fishing technician and environmental manager Nadson Oliveira.
From caf alone, 30 were issued; from car, 25. Immediate demands for rural credit from lines A and B of the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (Pronaf) were also identified, in prospecting with the Bank of the Amazon (Basa).
In recent months, through projects developed by Emater, at least R$ 2 million in rural credit has been released in the municipality via Basa, mainly for the productive chains of cassava and artisanal fishing.
