Registrations for the practical computer course for visually impaired individuals, promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará, start this Monday (6) and continue until Friday (10). To register, you need to contact by phone at (91) 3284-9034. Classes will take place at the FCP headquarters on Gentil Bittencourt Avenue and will be conducted in two phases: From October 15 to 31 and from December 1 to 17, always on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
The course will cover the use of assistive technologies, with an emphasis on using the NVDA screen reader in technological environments with Windows. The goal is to promote the learning of knowledge and experiences related to the use of free cloud storage tools, web accessibility, social media usage, and registration on different websites.

The classes will be taught by instructor Thaiane Martins. “The course will be conducted through moments of interaction and interactivity with available tools and technologies, in order to facilitate collaborative work. With individual and group activities,” says Thaiane Martins.
“The workshop offers students the opportunity to understand the basics to be able to use them for their benefit with autonomy, utilizing resources and digital tools in the field of computer science together with the NVDA screen reader,” she adds.
