Usina da Paz Terra Firme promotes games and cultural presentations
The event provided children and their families with a special afternoon, which also included the distribution of nearly 2,000 toys and snacks
The Usina da Paz Terra Firme, in Belém, held a special program on the afternoon of this Thursday (9) in honor of Children's Day, officially celebrated next Sunday (12). The event gathered a large audience, with families participating in activities designed to celebrate the date.
During the program, children from the neighborhood enjoyed games and cultural presentations. The initiative by the Government of Pará, organized by the State Secretariat for Citizenship Articulation (Seac) and the ParáPaz Foundation, also ensured the delivery of nearly 2,000 toys and snacks to boys and girls, ensuring moments of fellowship.
Festive afternoon - Vice Governor Hana Ghassan expressed her satisfaction in being able to celebrate Children's Day with families served by UsiPaz. "I was once a child and dreamed a lot about Children's Day. How wonderful that today we can, here at the Usina da Paz, have this festive afternoon for Children's Day. I thank all the involved staff and God for being here in good health to give this memory to our children," said Hana Ghassan.
The State Secretary for Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, highlighted the importance of actions that bring the community closer and strengthen the sense of belonging. "The Usina da Paz is a space of welcome and citizenship, and seeing so many happy children here today shows that we are on the right path. This is a place where they can play, learn, and dream of a better future," she stated.
Unique moments - According to resident Bianca Ferreira, mother of Thiago, "Usina helps us a lot because Thiago is a child with autism, and here he swims and has all kinds of support. This program is great because there are many mothers and fathers who cannot afford to buy toys. It helps us a lot. Seeing these children playing here is something that makes us very happy," said Bianca.
Silvana de Jesus also accompanied her son during the program and pointed out the benefits that Usina da Paz has brought to the Terra Firme neighborhood. "Before, we didn't have this here in the neighborhood. Our children didn't have these opportunities to have an afternoon like this, with toys, snacks, balloons. It's very beautiful to see our children receiving these gifts. It means a lot," she stated.
