Public school students represent Pará at the National Child and Youth Conference for the Environment
The Pará delegation, composed of 21 students, participated in five days of formative activities in Luziânia (GO), strengthening youth leadership in environmental education

The Pará delegation participated in the national stage of the 6th National Child and Youth Conference for the Environment (CNIJMA), held from October 6 to 10 in Luziânia (GO). The event brought together around 800 students from all over the country, as well as teachers, accompanying youth, and representatives from state organizing committees.
Pará was represented by 21 students from the state public school system, coming from various municipalities, in addition to four members of the Environmental Education coordination of the State Department of Education (Seduc), one accompanying an indigenous student, and one representative of a student with a disability.

The Conference is promoted by the Ministries of Education (MEC), Environment and Climate Change (MMA), and Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), and had the theme "Let's transform Brazil with education and climate justice," encouraging the leadership of children and adolescents in building a more sustainable, inclusive, and just society.
During the event, students participated in lectures, discussion circles, thematic workshops, cultural presentations, and the Project Fair, which brought together initiatives developed in schools across Brazil. The program also included the reading of the Commitment Letter, a document collectively prepared by the delegates, with proposals aimed at climate action and sustainability, which will be forwarded to the authorities of the partner ministries.
Student Ana Carla Castro Nascimento, from Santarém, highlighted the importance of the experience. "What I liked most was the fair, which stimulated students' knowledge. We talked, exchanged experiences with other delegations. It was a unique experience, I am very happy to have participated," she said.
Student Karina Oliveira da Silva, from Cumaru do Norte, emphasized the collective learning. "The most interesting part was the opportunity to learn more from the other delegations. This exchange of experiences with other states was wonderful and very enriching," she assured.

State Conference
In Pará, the state government, through the State Department of Education (Seduc), held the State stage, with the IV State Child and Youth Conference for the Environment (CEIJMA). The meeting brought together more than two thousand participants, including students and teachers from various regions of the state, and was a fundamental stage for the selection of projects and delegates who represented Pará at the national stage of the 6th CNIJMA.
The State Conference aimed to strengthen ecological awareness, value youth leadership, and promote collective solutions to the environmental challenges faced in Pará's school communities.
