Trasladação 2025 is monitored and accompanied by more than 2,000 public security agents

More than 2,000 agents from public security forces were mobilized to ensure the safety and monitoring of the Trasladação, the second largest procession of the Círio de Nazaré, which covers a distance of 3.7 kilometers, on the night of this Saturday (11). The actions developed by the security forces, with visible policing and monitoring, are part of the planning of Operation Círio 2025, coordinated by the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) in conjunction with federal, state, and municipal agencies.
“Once again this year, we are working in an integrated manner to ensure that the entire population can express their faith safely throughout the course of the processions. Our security teams monitored the three pilgrimages that took place earlier and, now at night, continue to monitor the Trasladação, to ensure all necessary support to the population. We are monitoring all the cameras that are located around the entire route, controlling traffic and also providing security to the population. Remember that we are on standby at the mobile CICC to receive information, provide information to the public, and register occurrences. This year, we have a novelty; any documents, cell phones, and any items you find should be taken to this post so that we can, starting Tuesday, return them to their rightful owners at the General Police Station. So, we will continue until the largest procession, which is tomorrow morning, acting firmly to conclude the actions of Sunday as planned so that everyone can enjoy it in the best possible way,” said the head of Segup, Ualame Machado.

From the Integrated Command and Control Mobile Center, located on Avenida Nazaré, at the corner of Travessa Quintino Bocaiúva, security agents monitor, in real-time, the movement in the streets through more than 60 Segup cameras distributed along the routes that are part of the procession, in order to visualize actions and routes, and also to ensure contact with agents on the streets and quicker decision-making in case of any incidents.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ilanise Lisboa, coordinator of Segup in Operation Círio 2025, the planning aligned with the agencies is being fulfilled in every detail, so that everything occurs in order and tranquility, despite the large flow of people on the streets and processions.
“We are here at the Integrated Command and Control Mobile Center, at Largo do Redondo, monitoring the Trasladação, which is the second largest pilgrimage in terms of audience, approximately 1.9 million people, and we have had our security scheme set up since 2 PM, which includes everything from blockade points, traffic direction, in addition to visible policing at all points. So, our security scheme is set up, here we have all the teams and the focal points of the integrated security agencies, in addition to that we also have health teams here integrated to better direct and assist the population,” informed Ilanise Lisboa.

“We are here at the Trasladação with the deployment of about 1,300 military police integrating security actions to provide safety throughout the course of the procession and maintain order. Whatever is needed, we are on standby to assist, whether on the streets or here at the CICC,” reinforced Colonel PM Alfeu, commander of the Specialized Police Command of PMPA.
During the security actions at the Trasladação, a team from the Directorate of Public Policies and Social Prevention (DPS) of Segup conducted an action by distributing fans to the pilgrims, reinforcing the official channels for reporting and safety tips for those walking along the procession route.

For Maria Eduarda Lemos, a university student who has been following the Trasladação for the third year on the rope and received safety tips, the procession is a moment of great emotion, gratitude, and faith, and becomes a more peaceful moment with security present.

“In 2019, I was taking the entrance exam, I made a promise to 'Nazinha', asking that if she helped me get into the course of my dreams, I would come as much as I could on her rope, pulling her palanquin. And in 2020 I passed the course, I am almost graduating now, thank God. I saw that there is a place where the police are here, which guarantees more safety, more tranquility for us like in the other years we have come. It has happened that we were on the rope and got lost from relatives, from friends, and the police helped us with support to find those who were with us. So this is very important for us, who come to participate,” said the petroleum engineering student.
Occurrence Records at the Mobile CICC

The Civil Police installed a unit for service at the Integrated Command and Control Mobile Center for assistance and occurrence registration. Until 9 PM this Saturday, 16 occurrence reports related to cell phone thefts were registered.
On site, the Civil Police team also received belongings found on the streets. All items received will be forwarded to the Metropolitan Police Directorate team located at the General Civil Police Station, to be claimed starting Tuesday (14), from 8 AM to 5 PM.
