Regional Hospital of Caetés performs around 5,000 speech therapy consultations in 2025
Between January and September, more than 150 hearing aids were also provided, increasing access to treatment and auditory rehabilitation
Reference in medium and high complexity assistance, the Public Regional Hospital of Caetés (HRPC), in Capanema, northeastern Pará, offers various specialties, among which Speech Therapy promotes health and quality of life by ensuring 4,853 consultations between January and September 2025, with a satisfaction rate of 99.53% among users.
In the same period, more than 150 hearing aids were also delivered, expanding access to treatment and auditory rehabilitation. Present in different areas of the Hospital, such as Rehabilitation, Medical Clinic, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), and in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Care Center (Natea Caetés), speech therapists play an essential role in functional recovery, communication, and swallowing, through humanized care integrated with other specialties.
Coordinator of the outpatient clinic of the hospital unit, Diego Ribeiro spoke about the service approach. “Our focus is to offer humanized and safe care, ensuring that each patient achieves greater auditory rehabilitation, as well as feeling welcomed and well cared for. The satisfaction of those who seek our outpatient clinic shows that we are managing to provide a quality service close to people,” he emphasized.
Speech therapist Camila Casseb highlighted the importance of the service, informing that the
“Audiometry examination is offered both to monitor the user's treatment and to rule out the possibility of any hearing problems, allowing the patient to receive a more accurate diagnosis.”
Approval - Maria de Lourdes Silva, 47 years old, a resident of Capanema, went to the Public Regional Hospital of Caetés to have her Audiometry examination. Satisfied with the care from the speech therapist, she said that “the service was very good. The speech therapist explained everything calmly and clearly, which made me feel very relaxed during the examination. I leave satisfied and confident with the result, happy to be able to count on this service here at the Hospital.”
Service: The Caetés Hospital Complex (CHC) is part of the health network of the Government of Pará, under the administration of the National Institute of Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa).
