Benefits of the Pró-Mulher Pará Program Reach Residents of Santa Izabel
With the implementation, the Program reaches the 24th municipality, with qualified agents to assist victims of domestic violence
The State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), through the Directorate of Public Policies and Social Prevention (DPS), carried out the implementation of the Pró-Mulher Pará Program in the municipality of Santa Izabel do Pará, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, qualifying 197 security agents and members of the protection network who work in actions to prevent and repress crimes against women over two days, Tuesday (14) and Wednesday (15). The training of facilitators aims to conduct discussions on the topic in the school environment.

The implementation of the Pró-Mulher Pará in Santa Izabel aims to expand protection actions for women suffering from domestic violence, through the Pró-Mulher Pará, which guarantees protection and guidance to victims and repression against those responsible for the crimes.
Integrated Qualification - During the activities, 197 agents and officials from state and municipal security, education, health, and social assistance agencies were qualified in an integrated manner, which is essential for the functioning of the Program.

In a discussion circle, debates were organized on humanized reception and support tools for victims in situations of violence in the school environment and in other spaces in the municipality, promoting integration between the security forces and educational agents present, through the exchange of knowledge and experiences in their respective areas of action. The dialogue will also allow sharing experiences in their fields of action and unifying efforts to combat crimes of this nature in Santa Izabel.
For the head of Segup, Ualame Machado, the expansion of the Program, and all preventive actions carried out in the State, are fundamental to ensure societal awareness, the protection of women, and reporting at the first sign of violence.
“We continue to work in an integrated manner to ensure the prevention of all crimes, including those against women in our State. Therefore, we are implementing the Pró-Mulher in another municipality, but going beyond that, ensuring the qualification of agents and all professionals who deal with this frontline daily. For us, ensuring a humanized approach is also a reflection of the commitment that the State government has in combating domestic violence. In addition to mobilizing the structure to ensure the best service, it is important to understand the specific demands of the municipality for the functioning of the Program and, in this way, think about the process of assisting victims up to the point of referral. For this, we are qualifying, listening, and acting according to the demand of each municipality,” explained Ualame Machado.

Agents from Segup participated in the action, through the Directorate of Public Security Policies and Social Prevention (DPS) and the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp), Military Fire Brigade, Civil and Military Police, Municipal Guard of Santa Izabel, ParáPaz Foundation, Municipal Secretary of the Environment, Municipal Secretary of Health, Social Assistance Reference Center, Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (Crea), Psychosocial Attention Center (Caps), Municipal Secretary of Labor and Social Promotion, and Municipal Secretary of Education.

Reception - Launched in March 2022, the Pró-Mulher Pará Program guarantees protection, guidance, and repression, with humanized assistance and reception for victims of domestic violence.
Currently, the Program's actions are present in 24 municipalities, in addition to the Mosqueiro District (belonging to Belém), and have 39 pink vehicles, characterized and exclusive for assisting women victims of violence.
