Detran reinforces the importance of licensing and warns of the final deadline for the 2025 calendar
Vehicle owners must settle debts to avoid fines

With the approach of the end of the 2025 licensing calendar, the State Department of Transit (Detran) issues a warning to the population: more than 1.4 million vehicles have not yet been licensed in Pará. Of the 2,847,984 registered throughout the State, only 1,420,361 have updated documents, which represents 49.87% of the fleet, while 1,427,623 remain irregular. This number concerns the traffic authority, which is intensifying inspection and awareness actions in this final stretch of deadlines.
The situation requires extra attention from owners who have not yet regularized their vehicles. Detran emphasizes that licensing is mandatory and ensures that the vehicle complies with the safety and administrative standards set forth by the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).
Driving with an expired document is a serious infraction, punishable by a fine of R$ 293.47, seven points on the National Driver's License (CNH), and removal of the vehicle. The agency warns that, starting in the coming weeks, inspections will be intensified throughout the State. Next month, November, marks the end of the annual 2025 calendar with the last plates to be licensed.
Simplified and digital process
Detran reinforces that licensing can be done entirely online, without the need for physical travel. Citizens only need to settle outstanding debts, such as IPVA, licensing fees, and any fines, to then issue the CRLV-e (Electronic Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate), a digital document valid throughout the country.
The annual licensing calendar ends on November 14, and drivers who have not yet regularized must issue the State Collection Document (DAE) through the website www.detran.pa.gov.br, click on the tab "Vehicles - Annual Licensing" and provide the license plate, Renavam, and the owner's CPF. Payment can be made at affiliated banks – Banco do Brasil, Banpará, Banco da Amazônia, Bradesco, Itaú, and Santander – until the due date. The DAE can also be obtained in person at Detran's headquarters, at advanced posts, or at the Regional Transit Circumscriptions (Ciretrans).
Inspection and awareness
During the final stretch of the calendar, Detran intensifies both inspection actions, in partnership with road safety agencies, and educational campaigns aimed at raising awareness among drivers. The goal is to reduce the number of irregular vehicles and encourage full compliance with licensing before the deadlines expire.
Guidelines and deadlines
The agency reminds that the deadline for licensing follows the schedule by license plate ending, and it is essential to monitor the official calendar to avoid expirations. Consultations can be made on Detran's website, which also provides information on debt installment plans and the regularization of old pending issues.
With more than 1.4 million vehicles still pending, Detran emphasizes the importance of adhering to licensing as a way to promote safer, responsible traffic in compliance with the law. "The agency's goal is to achieve the maximum possible regularization by the end of the schedule and to avoid penalties for owners who leave the procedure until the last minute," says Ana Carolina Sampaio, director of licensing, registration, and vehicle registration at Detran.
