Families in Ourém receive housing benefit Sua Casa, which ensures dignified housing for those in greatest need
Since its creation in 2019, the Sua Casa program has already benefited more than 11,600 families in the Integration Region of the Rio Capim
On this Friday (17), Governor Helder Barbalho delivered checks from the Housing Program "Sua Casa" to 150 families in Ourém, in the Integration Region of the Rio Capim. The action took place during a work agenda in the region, where the head of the Executive delivered works and services to the population.
“Today we are very happy here in Ourém, delivering the expansion and urbanization of the municipality's waterfront, making this environment better, more beautiful, which strengthens the economy, commerce, leisure, and tourism in the city, ensuring the organization and growth of the municipality, among other works. We are also signing the service order for a large sports complex, distributing benefits from the housing program Sua Casa, from Cohab, we are also inspecting daycare centers, from the Daycare Program throughout Pará, ensuring the renovation and recovery of schools, already planning roads, concrete bridges so that we can work in partnership with the municipality, so that Ourém can be better and better,” pointed out the governor.
Managed by the Housing Company of the State of Pará (Cohab), the housing program "Sua Casa" assists families in social vulnerability in the construction, reconstruction, and adaptations of residences, through the granting of benefits for the acquisition of construction materials and payment of labor. The value of the benefit can reach R$ 21 thousand.
The work agenda included the participation of the president of Cohab, Manoel Pioneiro. “It is Sua Casa, one of the largest housing programs in Brazil, that goes to all integration regions of Pará. This time it is in Ourém, ensuring that those in greatest need have access to dignified housing through Governor Helder and our Vice Governor Hana, who work throughout Pará,” pointed out Pioneiro.
The farmer Maria Campos Nascimento says that she lives in a house with no conditions for habitation and that the check arrived at a good time. “My house is very bad, I live stepping on 'dirt', because there is not even a floor, and now I received this blessing and I will be able to realize the dream of fixing my house,” she said.
Ronilce de Fátima Cardoso, a general services assistant, also says that she is very grateful because through the benefit she will be able to provide dignified housing for her family. “As a single mother, I am very grateful to the governor for providing a home for my daughters, because I live as a guest in my mother's house and now I will fulfill a dream that I have been planning since 2019, my happiness is very great. This program is very important because many people cannot build a house, in fact, they cannot even start the work,” she pointed out.
The housewife Rosa Batista Rodrigues also had the dream of improving her housing. “It has been five years since my house fell, and I lived as a guest in others' houses. I registered at the Cras and was called to receive this benefit. I still can't believe that I received this benefit, I will be able to build my little house and live there, receive my friends,” she said.
The Sua Casa program prioritizes families living in situations of social risk, such as extreme poverty and victims of disasters, such as fires, floods, storms, landslides, etc. The program also serves the elderly, families of people with disabilities, among other technical criteria established by law and evaluated by Cohab.
