State revenue inspectors from the Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa) stationed at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the southeast of the State, seized, this Saturday (18), a load of 56,468 bottles of wine beer, 660 ml each, valued at R$ 418,698.99.

The seizure occurred at the Jarbas Passarinho tax post, at km 120 of the Transamazon Highway. “Two trucks transporting goods from the municipality of Pinheiro Preto (SC) to Boa Vista (RR) were stopped. After document analysis and consultations with the systems, it was found that the recipient company of the load has its state registration suspended in the State of Roraima, and thus could not acquire goods, constituting irregularity in the operation,” explained coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.

Two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, totaling R$ 222,348.46, charging the ICMS and fine.

Soybeans - At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 48,100 kg of soybeans were also seized this Saturday (18), valued at R$ 94,853.20.

“During the inspection of a grain truck, an invoice for the transfer of soybeans was presented, which was said to originate from Dom Eliseu (PA) and destined for Açailândia (MA), but the route of the load raised suspicion from the inspection. In analyzing all the fiscal documentation presented, a record of the vehicle's passage in the Castanhal region was verified. The driver revealed that he picked up the load in Barcarena (PA) and was taking it to São Luís (MA),” said coordinator Gustavo Bozola.

It was also verified that the carrier had not recognized the due freight ICMS. In light of the facts, the goods were retained and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) were drawn up, totaling R$ 20,183.52.

Corn - During an inspection carried out at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Serra do Cachimbo, on Thursday (16), 45 tons of corn originating from Abadia de Goiás (GO) and destined for Boa Vista (RR) were seized. The load was valued at R$ 49,500.00.

“The transporter presented an invoice issued on the 15th, which raised suspicion regarding the origin of the load, as the time interval between the issuance and presentation of the invoice in Serra do Cachimbo, and the vehicle's movement from Goiás to Pará, was very short,” reported coordinator Maycon Freitas.

He also informed that, in consulting the traffic registration control systems, it was observed that, on the last day 11, the vehicle had entered Mato Grosso (MT), transporting construction materials, and there was no record of exit from MT, nor of transit through the State of Goiás, “which confirms the invalidity of the document presented, given that the load did not originate from the State of Goiás.”

The invoice was disregarded and a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 16,929.00 referring to the tax and fines due.
