In celebration of its 40th anniversary, PGE held its 1st Race and Walk this Sunday (19)
A total of 1,200 participants were present, including runners and walkers. In addition to promoting well-being, the program aimed to integrate the population with the PGE community.

The Attorney General's Office (PGE) kicked off its first Race and Walk at exactly 6 a.m., starting and finishing at Praça Batista Campos in Belém. The event took place on the morning of this Sunday (19), in partnership with the company ChipBelem, and marks the continuation of celebratory programs for the institution's 40th anniversary.
"The goal of this day was to integrate the PGE with society, with the people we serve. In our daily lives, we end up distancing ourselves a bit from our users. So, in these moments, we feel this integration of the institution, the people, the servers, all of us, who are the PGE family, with society, with the community. This is the main objective. And, of course, to celebrate the 40 years of PGE, this permanent institution, important for public policies to happen, to serve as support for all the needs and objectives of the State of Pará. So, celebrating 40 years is a huge joy, and celebrating 40 years with the community present is an even greater happiness," explained the Deputy Attorney General for Administration, Carla Melém.

A total of 1,200 participants were present, including runners and walkers. In addition to promoting well-being, the program aimed to integrate the population with the PGE community, in a moment of relaxation and encouragement for sports.
"Throughout 2025, we are holding several events celebrating the 40 years since its creation. And the PGE Race and Walk was one of those events because we really want to integrate the institution with the community, with society. We are very happy with the success of the event," said State Attorney Rolando Massoud, president of the PGE 40th Anniversary Commission.

Course - The PGE Race and Walk offered two courses in the event, passing through the streets of the Batista Campos and Cidade Velha neighborhoods: the 3 km course for those who walked; and the 7 km course for runners.
At the venue, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places were awarded, male and female, among the 7 km runners, in the categories "General," aimed solely at the external public, and "PGE," intended for interns, servers, and attorneys of the institution.

In the "General Male" category, the runners who won were: Josiel Vulcão (1st); Hilmo Azevedo (2nd); and Benedito Menezes (3rd). "I want to thank the Attorney General's Office for promoting this free race for the people of the State, aiming for the well-being of the population, which is in need of sports. Thank you for the event itself, which was well organized, well marked, and I believe the people came out victorious from this race," celebrated the military Josiel Vulcão, who finished the race in under 25 minutes.

In the "General Female" category, the winners were: Iza Cunha (1st); Silvana Pacheco (2nd); and Deuziane Oliveira (3rd). "For me, it is a great honor to participate, as it is the 40th anniversary of the PGE, and being here is a great satisfaction because working, taking care of the children, the house, having that time in the early morning to train and getting here. And achieving the title of champion is a great satisfaction. So, congratulations on the organization, congratulations on the 40 years of PGE," said Iza Cunha, a sales promoter.
The program ended around 7:30 a.m., with much celebration and festivity. "We are very happy with the result of this Race and Walk because we are managing to show the work that the PGE develops, bringing the Pará community closer. Today was a success! We are very satisfied," concluded the Deputy Attorney General for Litigation, Lorena Rêgo.

All participants were awarded a medal, a way to encourage sports and register participation in the event.
