The State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) began, on this Monday (20), the application of the tests of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) in the State Technical Schools of Pará (EETEPAs). The exam, which takes place throughout the country, assesses students' performance in Portuguese Language and Mathematics, and will continue until October 30, covering units of the State Technical Network.

Students from Pará begin to take the national assessment

The first schools to apply the Saeb were the EETEPAs of Monte Alegre, in the Lower Amazon Integration Region, in western Pará, and Breves, in the Marajó Archipelago. In the coming days, the other Technical Schools will continue the application of the Saeb tests, following the established schedule.

Preparation - To ensure good participation and better performance of the students, Sectet carried out a series of preparatory actions in the schools, such as biweekly simulations, reinforcement classes, and continuous pedagogical support.

The initiatives were integrated into the Prepara SISPAE Program, developed by the State Secretariat of Education (Seduc), which offers additional simulations and content directed to the exam, further strengthening the students' preparation.

“Seeing our students participating in the Saeb with confidence and preparation is the result of a collective effort, involving the dedication of teachers, managers, and the entire technical network. This moment reinforces Sectet's commitment to quality public education, which trains young people capable of transforming the future of Pará,” highlighted the head of Sectet, Victor Dias.

The Basic Education Assessment System is one of the main diagnostic tools for education in Brazil. Promoted by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), the exam allows for the evaluation of the quality of teaching and guides public policies and more effective pedagogical practices, contributing to the improvement of education and the strengthening of teaching networks in Brazil.
